I'm sorry to hear that some people are getting a bit tired of GTR2.  :'( I still think that it offers the best racing and most fun. I'd be happy to move to single class racing and shorter races if that whats required to get the numbers up. Also please could we go back to changeable weather  Roll Eyes

I also find IR very cold and lacking in the fun department. Please don't make me go back!

I'll join you guys for some weekend endurance racing when I return from holiday. I prefer GTR2 over rFactor as I always feel like I'm driving a magic carpet in all rFactor mods. I just don't get the feeling as if the tires are connected to the road.

Well said, Mike. Smiley rF didn't live up to my expectations, not even the new Armaroli mod. Undecided

I agree the changable weather imo spiced things up, practicing for an entirely predictable set of conditions does put me off a bit. At least with changable conditions its pointless putting in too much pre race work as it can all be for nothing if the weather throws a curve ball.

I would also like race length to go to one hour and make it a bit more of a sprint event, i do a league on Saturday nights which takes over two and a half hours for the whole event and by the time Sunday evening rolls around i am just a little exhausted recently.

Having said all this i still think GTR2 is the best sim around at the moment which doesn't  require a subscription and i am going to be free of my commitments to my Saturday league soon and back here every week  Smiley

I am a fan of GTR2 I just can't seem to do it. I either choose a slow and easy car because I can't give it any practice time, or I'm just slow. I can be competitive with PG and GTL so not sure why I am so poor at
this, but I still like it. Don't mind race length or conditions, other than I hate a flooded track for the whole event. Last two events I was a bit quicker than JPV and a bit slower than the next guy, JVP quit when
he dropped back out of sight, I had half a tussle with Picnic until he pulled away, I always lose 20secs more
in pits as I can't be bothered to mess about with XD and manual engine on/off etc, so as I can't seem to
race anyone, I just leave as it's pointless, and I have other stuff to do.

I feel quite similar in iR, Matt. Undecided Seems like I'm on the edge, then anotherone drives by two seconds faster. Roll Eyes Guess if we're good at one sim it doesn't mean we're good at all of them. Except aliens, of course - but they're a bunch of cheater glitch exploits anyway. Wink

The grid's worn out so thin at the back that I've mostly been joining to keep up the numbers and do some laps until I fall behind, Matt's the only one recently that I've been able to race at all.

I would try switching to single class to get more people racing each other, shorten the races to one hour but retain the mandatory pit stops. Would be just like the current FIA GT1 format, could run GT1 and GTC or GT3 on alternating weekends.
