First, big thanks to Phil for sorting out the mess I'd made starting the server with default number of cars. Secondly, it has scuppered my dastardly plan of stopping Hristo from winning at least one race by voiding the Race 1.

Whilst it's a track I quite enjoy I seem to be unusually slow at Silverstone, starting at the back of the grid in both races. Managed to pick up a few places by having a relatively mistake free drive so at least Statto will give me some points in the Climbmeister table.

Really struggled trying to keep the Honda engine temperature out of the red but have been reliably informed that rice burns much hotter than petrol & it will quite happily go to 220 or 230 degrees.

We do have 30 registered drivers for this series but have only run one grid in round 2 & round 3. It would be great to see a few more turn up for the next event which is at Porto. This is the 1958 city circuit. Probably new to many of you but it’s relatively quick to learn & should be good fun.

Is anyone else still using Pribluda MK1 like I am  Huh. I find that with tyre temps/my split times/ time diffs ocross the the top of the screen that is more than enough distraction.

Incidentally....does prib suffer from lag??? as my incident with Jethro in race 2 was partially caused by a dodgy read out on prib.
On the run up to Abbey Jethro was showing as 0.5 secs behind, so I was just about to move across to take the full racing line when I heard an engine to my right. A quick glance confirmed that Jethro's Honda was in fact right alongside!!!.

I can't believe that he closed half a second gap in about 50 mtrs, as prib claims!!. The Cooper may not have the ultimate grunt of the Waza, but with my foot on the floor it is not THAT slow Huh

The frustrating thing is that Prib does not get saved with the replay so there is no way of re-running that episode.

I use MK1 with OpenGLv1 Clive. Tried running the OpenGLv2 with new prib but, to me, the graphics actually looked worse.
Not sure about lag but it does get confused sometimes and give funny readings, I tend to take it as a guideline only. Mostly, if there is a glitch re who is where, it sorts itself out after a lap. Also, for some reason, those who don't make it across the start line seem to stick in prib permanently in dark green.

Here are the Statmeister results for Races 5 & 6 in the Spec Challenge.

Combining the results from the 2 servers in the first race caused a bit of head-scratching, but here at the Stat-Centre we decided that the only fair way to represent the High Climber scores was not to combine them & to use the separate results from each server. I understand overtaking is not easy in GPL & combining results just meant that some people gained 3 or 4 places without actually overtaking anyone (and likewise some people lost several places without being overtaken). Of course, laptime consistency was not affected by running 2 servers.

A perfect laptime consistency score for this race would be 60 (0.00 average variation over 12 laps).

* Thanks to Billy NoBrakes for letting me know that I forgot to sort the Heavy table. Corrected now.

Yet more stats for you - table again courtesy of the Statmeister.

Interesting trend ~ the majority of the Novice drivers were faster in the Cooper than the Honda. Exception was Vosblod & after his performance in the Laguna 65 race he could be due for a promotion come the end of the season. Average result, from all drivers who completed more than half distance in both races was the Honda was about 6/10 th's quicker. Just to clarify the drivers are not intended to be shown in order - the comparision is of the chassis performance.

Layout is a bit different this time as the times were taken from the race results table - not the GPL Replay Analyser reports. The faster time is shown in green highlight.
