Moderator's Report

Big congratulations to Bernie on his win and milestone 200th race. The only other finishers were Ronnie and Hannah.
A nice easy one for moderating as there were no reported incidents.

Moderator's Report

A win for Hristo with Al H in second.
There was one reported incident (see below). A reminder to all drivers to leave a safe distance, especially with potential warp, and a reminder that it is useful if you could submit your own replay clips for incidents.

Server replay time: 0h23m59s

Phil goes off the banking at Karussell on lap 3 losing momentum. He was then rear-ended by Bartosz. A reminder to keep a safe distance, the penalty has been reduced as Phil had lost some control.

In case anyone else is using the Track Start Manager - don't forget to reset your start point back to the pits before the race. Suddenly appearing on track in front of someone who is 3/4 round their Nurby hotlap might not go down too well!

There's no need for this. The starting positions are controlled by the server, not the game clients.

Yes, I thought that too Hristo but when I went on track on the practice server I was surprised to find that I joined 3/4 way round.
I'm not using the Track Start Manager, but I started same place as Al. Whereabouts would this be located?

Indeed, when I use T7 it does start me late in the lap.  Nice to see.

So, apparently, you're not so weird after all, Al!!   Cheesy

There are 20 pit stalls, each having their own coordinates. I suppose the server had some of them set at 3/4 distance of the lap and the rest were left at the default pit lane positions.

Crashed in qualy at the last bridge, to the amusement of everybody else. Crashed in the race at the same place. Looking good for 2nd place after evil had a spin, but lost it to Al, so 3rd could have been likely.

Had a horrible feeling with this car, it just wouldn't go where I wanted it to. I reckon I damaged my wheel sometime in this race, as it now turns further to the right than it should.

Somewhat disappointed with my performance in this race Undecided. I was nowhere near Hristo's pace but thought I had a reasonable chance of 2nd or 3rd spot and things were looking good after the 1st lap.
Then, I lost concentration for a moment and barely clipped a hedge, but that appeared to have deranged the suspension or steering and I had a missile that had random directional inputs.

When Jethro and Al passed me that was not a spin   Roll Eyes..the car had just decided that it preffered a different direction to the one that I thought I was going in!!!

I recovered but a few wild corners later it all went totally bananas and I was over the fence and resting on my crash helmet. :'(

A steady race to finish for me, which seems to have got me to 4th! I enjoy Nurby, but shame there were not a few more racing.  Come on guys it's no that bad Wink

Congrats to H who was in a class of his own....again

WD to Al and Bartosz who made it a 2-3-4 for CHR Smiley

WTG Hristo!   clap   Always a tough win... I suppose.   I've never actually won one there.   laugh

Sorry I missed it boys but I just got back from my 2 week business trip.  And this being Mother's Day I thought it would be in bad form to excuse myself from the family for a couple of hours mid-afternoon to go racing in Germany.

Well done on the win Bernie.
Never tackled this one, on my to do list, so picked the BRM as not expecting much.
Lasted a couple of laps and picked up 20 points, bonus as more then I expected.

I just love this track & it was one of the main reasons why I bought GPL in the first place. Those track designers were fiends though!

Decided to take it steady on lap 1 so dropped a place to a fast-starting Jethro but once things had warmed up a bit I pushed a little harder & sneaked past JW on the run down to Karussell after he snatched a bit too much of the verge. Third soon became second when I passed Clive who appeared to have gone blackberry-picking in the bushes. After that I braced myself for an onslaught of Waza-mobiles but both Clive & Jethro then disappeared from prib so I found myself in a lonely 2nd. I wasn't going to catch Hristo but I maintained my race pace just in case his Honda developed any gremlins plus I was sure I'd spin if I eased off. Had a few minor brushes with the foliage but no major dramas so was delighted to have a clean run to the flag.

Congrats to Hristo who was in a league of his own & also to my teammates Bartosz & Steve Smiley WD Bernie over in Privateers too.

I vote Nurby as the next Iron Man event Wink

A completely unexpected and suprise win , set the lotus up in "comfy" mode hoping just to stay on track ( which I did,  sometimes! )

Practise was a complete no! no! first outlap almost completed and I find a stationary Fulvio lurking beyond the crest of the little hump back bridge before the little carousel  Shocked

Back to pits and 2nd outlap is good, I have a front row nailed here , blasting down the straight , little lift ,under the bridge and,  bang! there goes my chance along with a front wheel .

The race was pretty good for me , I took it steady just hoping to finish really , but the opposition had other ideas and did there best to ruin my plan . Fulvio, Ronnie Peterson (is that really your name ) and Mike ? Hunt , in no particular order,  took it in turns crashing into each other and the scenery, they seemed really determined that  I should lead the race .

From lap 4 I reluctantly took over P1.  as Ronald and Fulvio were falling over themselves to help me gain the lead, who was I to refuse the offer  Grin

So there I stayed in spite of a minor last lap off damaging the steering,  the last 3rd of the final lap was a bit of a lottery with my wobbley lotus limping slowly to the line and me watching the mirrors more than the road for signs of Brabhams closing in for the kill . But I think they were still arguing about who should follow me home first .

Grats to all them that finished and consultations to them who didn't  Smiley

Congrats Bernie. As only my second league race I was trying not to ruin anyones elses race, honest. I thought some of the passing attempts on myself were hard but fair and have no complaints as I learn the driving styles of my fellow racers. I was just grateful to get the Brabham home with the dodgy steering from the earlier mayhem.

Finally I've got a good result Smiley

I started from 5 place. JW passed me on the start, but it was a long race, so I didn't care about it Wink

At T5 King Hiro had some problems and rejoined in front of me. His rejoin was ok, but in next turn he was struggling and to avoid hitting him I had to move right and drive into the wall. That was difficult place to rejoin, so I had to wait for others to pass me.

Steve quickly let me through(thanks mate), and I've started to chase drivers in front. Nurb is very difficult place to pass other driver(at least for me), so when I've caught up drivers in front I couldn't pass them. Afther some time Bob, and King Hiro made mistekes, and in front of me I had only Phil(Hristo and Al were to far in front to catch them).

On lap 3 when Phil and I were very close. At Karussel Phil made small mistake, because of that he lost lots of his corner speed and unfortunately I hit him. I'm very sorry about that Phil, but I just couldn't avoid you there.

Later I've made few small spins, my fastest lap, and on lap 5 I was going for my PB, but I had a scary spin so rest of the race was just cruising Wink

Congratulations to the winners and to all survivors Wink

Ronnie my replay shows you and Fulvio having quite a bit of warp , maybe it had a bad effect on the battle .  Not easy to overtake at Nurby even without Pro damage.

Made me feel good though, beating one of my hero's at Nurburgring  Grin doubt I would ever do that again  Wink
