Is the race actually going to be exactly 60 minutes?  Or are you going to convert that to a number of laps Mike?

I have a video problem with this track. Parts of the track, especially the tarmac and sometimes even the grass suddenly turns black  Huh

Here's what it looks like: http://www.filefront.com/16391651/GRAB_001.zip

Am I the only one with this problem ?

No problems with the track for me  Smiley

Just been blatting around in the IROC 911, lovely stuff, could do that all day  Grin

Top speed of 152mph down the banked back straight, not bad going, but will see what some of the bigger lumped monsters make and the 911s nimbleness should overcome them in the infield even if they then blast back past me on the last sector !

I have low frame rate at one point and one section of the infield track, after the first 180-right, gets drawn very late.

Guess i'm fortunate not to have frame rate issues here as my NVIDIA has been fragile of late. Maybe try reducing track texture detail or reflection detail for this event?

I think you may find that the biggest lump you can stuff under the hood/bonnet will pay big dividends here.

Just had my third screen lock-up of the evening.  Think I might reinstall the track tomorrow.

Got the video problem fixed now. Changed my Nvidia settings to less quality and max perfomance and switched to DX 8 in the GTR2 config. I dunno which part solved the problem, but ot works fine now, even with max detail settings within the game.

Track reinstalled and it hasn't loked up since.  (cross fingers, touch wood, etc, etc...)

However, every time that I try to do a race run the little red percentage figure only gives me about 4% at best and I only last a few laps before the engine expires!!!!!

Is there a setting that I have buggered up somewhere?

I'd imagine the server is set to normal wear. Have you tried an offline race at normal mechanical failures Clive? Does the engine blow prematurely there too? The Ferrari Special is the only car that I'm aware of that has a fragile engine. Check your gear ratios too. You don't want to be bouncing off the rev limiter the whole way around the oval.

LOL

It happened to the L88; which by my estimation fires about once a lamp post.

I'll give it another test today Clive. I'll test on both the UK server and my own.

No panic Mike.

I think that it was because I had set Time Scaled on wear.  Since my PnG wants to make a full race 800 laps I guess that it thought that 4% of engine life was all I needed for 31 laps.

It doesn't work the way that I thought it would.

Anyway, it's et on Normal now and just gave me 100%   Grin

For info, the practice server is set for 1x tyre wear and 2x fuel consumption as per the race announcement.

Which would be good if I could see it.

Are you sure that it's running?

I just checked and I couldn't see it in the lobby either. Server was running, but I've rebooted with same settingsand all appears ok. Strange Huh
