Good race. Odd cars to drive, but fun. Thought I had avoided the mess at T1, kept well inside, saw clear track so kept going only for something red and white to suddenly teleport right in front. took some damage but the car felt ok, was keeping up with some, 1st stop saw "95 sec replace suspension" just as i hit return had to sit and be lapped by the people I had just passed.. Ah well two more stops. made up some time, had a good tussle with Geoffers, somehow beat him out of the pits, then he got past after a while, and I followed to flag.

A strange kind of race. Got off to an ok start and was tying to keep on the tails of Navin on lap 1 until he had a big lag going into Graham Hill bend and I hit him hard and ended up in the gravel. Decided to push on until I could get into my pit window but dropped it a couple of times causing more damage. From then it was a case of chasing down the "slower" group cars who let me through so I never really had anyone to race with. One thing I found confusing was the difference (or lack of it) between the soft and hard tyres. I chose hard for my first stint but because I pitted early, I didn't get to the point where they were starting to give up. I chose soft at my first stop and these lasted ok for 30 odd laps although they were a little slidey by the time of my second stop. I chose hards for my last 30 odd laps, but with 5 laps to go they were like driving on ice and I could hardly keep on track. Very strange Looked like Ginsters and Cap had great battle up front Congrats to the podies and all who turned out.

I wish I knew that it was my lag that knocked you off the first lap Goldtop. Very sorry . I should of backed off and had a much more fun time battling with you. As it turned out after Martini got by me right after the start I basically was in limbo the rest of the race as I didn't see another car the entire race that was on the same lap that I was(other than pitted cars). A big Congrats to Ginsters and Cap7 who seemed to have a great battle . Congrats to everyone one who finished the marathon race And a big thanks to Tony for putting together another great race

Big Grats to Ginsters, Cap7 & Navin ...& very well done to you all from GTLDK There are probably more who wonder what happened on lap two with my Porsche 917 We were in close combat & suddenly I can't brake to T6?, finally starting the car to slow almost inside the turn...pic freezes about 2 sec & I have no control over the car. Trying to get the car to pit, but still no control over either steering wheel or pedals & It stops at some tires to T'last. Rip wires out of the PC & bring them in again, but never get the steering wheel & pedals to work...race end

Thoroughly enjoyable that, cheers Tony. Very impressed by Caps quali lap and thought he would simply go away from me in race. Surprised to stay with him and slip past when he made a slight slip. Basically flat out for rest of race as any let up would have seen him take me. Never really went nose to tail but raced Cap for the whole two hours. Exhausting, especially as I had to tackle the garden/jungle all that day (I'm 40 you know ), but very rewarding and fun. Nice one Cap and hope to cya again. Congrats to all that finished, especially to Navin and those that took the nasty understeery beasts around. I'm sure, with a select group that know each others pace well, that we could balance these cars by choosing accordingly. Please, please can we use these cars again. As Dan said on the grid "what a sound!" Awesome cars.

First of all, I'd like to apologize to ginsters and cap7, because of the alfa's crappy rearview mirror, sometimes I didn't let them overtake me cleanly, sorry guys! with those cars I should have used the virtual mirror. Also my apology to sqter, who I hit at the first turn causing the little mess Was a big challenge to take these cars to the finish line. I could keep my pace without doing big mistakes until the early first pitstop, I believed the game info that showed only 16 laps with full tank After the second pitstop I checked fuel level at XD! and realized that I could do almost 30 laps, had to reconsider the strategy but all was useless as I had threw away any posibility of reaching podium doing my usual driving mistakes, anyway I had lots of fun fighting with other drivers Grats to winners & finishers!

Two hours before kick off my graphics card started to accelerate a minor niggle into a full blown fault in so much as it's slight stutter became a highly distracting stop/go/stop/go. A very regular pulse but it was obviously going to make GTL un-driveable. After installing/un-installing new/old drivers and fiddling with the in game video settings I was all for throwing the bl**dy thing in the dustbin. In a final attempt to fix it I turned off the Anti-aliasing and lo, no more judder. Then set in game graphics to full on, to compensate, and I had a useable display again, phew. Didn't those cars sound amazing, especially the Matra's. Sitting in the pit lane it was really cool hearing all those different engine notes blast by. And when they all set off from the grid........wow! A shame we had so many drop out just before the start and the field thinned out quickly with some early retirements but it was a good track to race at and there was always something going on to keep it interesting. Thanks to everyone who turned out and congrats to Ginsters and the pods and everyone who finished what was an epic journey. Next outing with these beasts is scheduled for Monday 24th January at 1970's Daytona. BTW SeniorDan, did your car share work out? PS If there's no P&G Christmas special I'll gladly run a Spa event or whatever you guys think would be a tasty super enduro. Not Le Mans please as that's already scheduled for next year

Thanks Tony for organising this race, great event, just needed a few more drivers. I put a post in the Nogrip GTL League forum about it but just Cap & Solmyr turned up. We had a 90min Enduro on Sunday night so 2 successive Enduros was probably a bit much to ask.
Anyhow my race was quite eventful from start to finish & apart from about 15 laps in the middle I was always fairly close to someone else. Had a good dice with Henry early on, chased him for many laps but couldn't find a way past. Oddly his Matra was quicker than mine, just went away on the striaghts, probably a setup or gearing thing.
Then lost a lot of time in the pits having repairs after going off at Hawthorns. Eventually caught up with Tony & then Matt & swapped places a few times usually due to one of us making an error. After the last stop had a great battle with Matt for several laps but eased away towards the end & picked up a place right at the end passing Dan's Ferrari.
Congrats to SBG, Cap & Navin.
Shame the Alfa & Matra are not as evenly matched as they were in reality. Maybe a case for a v2.0 of these cars.

A fantastic race, so first off a big thanks to Tony for the organisation. I'm not normally able to race on Mondays, but being a bank holiday I could get everything else done and still find time for a bit of practice as well. What's more Brands is one of my favourites and I couldn't resist the chance to drive the Alfa. Qualifying went very well and I managed to beat my practice time by nearly a second and I even managed to get a decent start, not easy in these beasts. All went well in the race for the first few laps with SBG chasing me until I caught the grass on the outside under braking for Paddock Hill which sent me spinning off into the infield. Luckily I kept it pointing in the right direction and was able to set off after SBG a couple of seconds in front. I held onto the back of him for the first stint, but during the second I had another off at Paddock Hill and I dropped back a bit, but coming out of the final pitstop we were very close again. Hats off to SBG, I was pushing as hard as I could but I couldn't quite match your race pace, a very well deserved win Also thanks to everyone who let us past, sorry I couldn't always say thanks either by chat or flash of lights, but a lot of the time I didn't dare take my hands off the wheel Hopefully you guys haven't seen the last of me, I'll keep an eye on your schedule and when I'm able I'll see if I can put in a guest appearance
