Damm fine race. Was a couple of tenths faster in Tina, and a good half second quicker in Alfa Junior, but any excuse to drive the TR4 will do, so took him. Good to see Marco and PR also opted for some quality Midlands metal

Cracking race tonight. I was in the midst of a battle every lap. Early on it was primarily Paulo and Isacchini. Lap 13, Pepe made a brilliant outside pass at McCleans. After a quick service, it was Marco and Matt. I was a bit off pace tonight, but a strong pitstop and persistence to keep it on the black stuff pushed me up the order to a good finish.
I started 15th of 20; unfamiliar territory for me. My lack of practice yielded lack of pace. Now that I'm back from vacation I'll be better prepared for upcoming races. I was pleased to see respectful driving from all in the early laps. I think I got into the side of an Abarth in the middle of Coppice as the rear of my Mini slid sideways. I'll have to review the replay to see exactly what happened there.
Early battles with the TVR proved the car choice for those in the Yellow group may depend on track. The TVR doesn't turn as well as the Mini, but it sure does get up and go down the straight. It was interesting to see the strengths and weakness of each car. The Alfa is a great all around performer.
Where the Mini lacks pace, it makes up in pit time as it sips fuel. I came out of the pits 5th, but was quickly hunted down by Marco and Matt. Marco. Marco read the traffic beautifully into turn 1 and made a fantastic pass. Late in the race, Ayrton was closing fast and certainly would have taken the position, but a few mistakes prevented him from getting past.

Isachini got the worst deal a few times as he tried to stay on the outside several time in the 1st lap or so. What's this TVR you weere watching Mike? didn't see any Blackpool built cars on the track

You might want to use the UKGTR version of the track, Mike. There would be much less pushing others off the track through chicanes liberty when taking lines through chicanes. Was going for fun, really. But I was too slow with the Abarth and Alfa didn't really get me going.

Sorry about that Goldtop. Is the second time he race here, and his name in forum is "Lalethor". I went out to drink a beer after the race... considering that at the moment I'm a bit drunk, it's better if I comment my race tomorrow I'm disappointed to read about Mogget troubles, but I didn't read at all the forum yesterday, and when I realized you had some troubles... it was simply late to solve it... However I hope to see you for the next, and that some UKP&G guys will add to your GC events. Thx even to Mike for his kind words to me. I appreciated it so much. OOOOps... It's too late guys. Good night! CU soon!

I'll hopefully be better prepared next time, Manteos. It was a spur of the moment decision to try and race with you guys, and I wasn't expecting problems with a default track! I would have enjoyed driving the Mini Cooper 1275S at Donington National with such a large grid. Mind you, I would probably have struggled to finish such a long race after my recent back problems, but I'm sure that it would have been exciting while it lasted

Nice and enjoyable race always battling, mainly with Mike's Mini. Then, I went to pits to add fuel and the second half of the race was quite boring, even if it was my guilty. When I went to pits, I stoped the car and kept looking to the guy in front...and nothing...I just forgot that GTR needs to turn off the engine to put fuel. So, I lost the opportunity to keep fighting with Mike, Pepe and Isacchini. Second stint was all with no car in sight, unfortunately. Nevertheless, an enjoyable event. Congrats to Manteos and podium and well done to all finishers. Congrats also for the guys who drove the TR4 and finished in front, well done. I will miss a few races now, see you when I come back from my trip (I will miss the beggining of both seasons) Cheers

Enjoyed the Alfa Jr around here and was able to secure P2 in quali. Got off the line well but someone tried to pass me around the outside of Redgate and the resulting contact left them on the grass. I slowed considering a wait, but figured there was not much I could have done to avoid it. By the time I came out of Old Hairpin I was in 7th A few laps in I started to struggle with oversteer as my tyre pressures seemed to go a bit off through pushing too much and I fell off a few times. The car was much better after I'd pitted even though I didn't change the tyres . I tried to close the gap to Geoffers but was being caught by Marco in the closing laps. I just about managed to hold on to 4th with Marco just a couple of inches behind me at the line. Congrats to Manteos for a well deserved win in his Abarth and to API and Geoffers for 2nd and 3rd

Not a bad race, even though I'm not a big fan of Donington. Qualified 6th & got a fair start & got up to 4th with a few people taking to the grass at Redgate. Then had a great fight with Goldtop & API for many laps until Goldtop made a couple of mistakes & dropped back. API & I continued the battle up until the pitstops & even managed to catch up with Manteos. After the stops were done I was in a lonely 3rd place around 7s behind API. I was gaining on him very slowly, but was never going to catch him unless he made a mistake, so had to settle for the bottom step of the podium. Pleased with that though Congrats to Manteos & API. I'm away for next week's race so cya all in a fortnight.

Started 11th and finished 11th, but in between I made a lot of mistakes. I completely missed the start and ended somewhere at the end of the field. After around 20 laps I pitted and was sitting there, wondering why the mechanics didn't do anythig about the car until much later I remebered to switch off the engine Pitstop was therefore more than 3 minutes and I was lapped by the race leaders soon afterwards. I was busy to get back on track and almost rammed goldtop when I rejoined the race. Apologies for that. The rest of the race was quite uneventful which allowed me to try different lines etc. especially when the tyres were worn.

No problem Eddie; It's a tricky pit exit. Don't know if you use the driver tabs, but with these on and a backward view button assigned it just gives a bit more warning of approaching traffic which helps me a lot on these difficult rejoins.

Not sure what was going on there, I was well off the pace and not obvious as to why. Think my son may have been messing with some settings! Still did a few laps and packed up before becoming a mobile chicane! Sorry about the 'Hi' in chat at the end of qualifying, pressed the wrong button when I was trying to change my driving view!
Still have this annoying sign in problem having to re-register every day.
Hope to make it to another race soon.
