Practice 1: 19:20 (60 mins)
Qual 2: 20:20 (12 mins)
Race: 20:32 (60 Minutes)

Cars allowed: Refer to this spreadsheet. Your car choice is limited to your average finish position (trimean).

Drivers with an average finish of 1 - 5.99 are restricted to cars in the Yellow group.
Drivers with an average finish of 6 - 14.99 are restricted to cars in the Yellow and Orange groups.
Drivers with an average finish of 15+ may drive any car from any group.
First time drivers are restricted to cars in the Yellow group.

Yellow (average finish 1+)
  • Abarth 500 Gr5
  • Mini Cooper 1275S
  • Triumph TR4
  • Lotus Elite

Orange (average finish 6+)
  • Lotus Cortina Mann
  • Lotus Cortina Works
  • Alfa Romeo GTA Jr.

Green (average finish 15+)
  • Alfa Romeo GTA
  • Ford Falcon Sprint
  • Ford Mustang BSCC-Gr2

Note: For the pre-season testing only, I've made some adjustements to a handful of drivers (moving them up) in order to get the largest sample size possible in each group during the off-season testing. We will all start in the Yellow Group the 1st event of the championship season and then your average finish will determine your group going forward. Use the spreadsheet for this pre-season test event.

Track: Donnington National
Time of Day Setting: 13:00
Weather: Dry
Start: Standing

Tyre wear: 1X
Fuel consumption: 2X
Pit-stops: At least 1 stop is required taking on at least 1 litre of fuel and/or changing 2 tires. You cannot take a mandatory stop at the end of the pace lap, or with less than 1 lap to go.

Server: UKPnG2.1 S2 Classic
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules especially the rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Power and Glory v2 from here, 2.1 patch from here and enable terrain patch.
(4) Driver lists can be found on the championship standings page
(5) Drivers are reminded that they must select ISDN as their bandwidth, otherwise the stability of every-one's connection will be reduced.
(6) P&G has no 'Pit Speed Limiter' function. You may go as fast as you like in the pits, but please exercise caution. Penalties will be handed out for causing contact in the pit lane. Use your best judgement when making your pitstop during the race.

Beeing an alfanatic, I feel obliged to do well in the Alfa. I have driven the street version off this car several times, and I used to be the proud owner off a 2000 berlina from 72'. ( the last model before FIAT took over ). Not many people in Denmark knew this car, so I smoked many a BMW2002 ti and some Ecsort RS2000's. The drummer form the band I used to play with bought him self a sidepiped, great sounding Mustang 321" only to find out, he got smoked too Cheesy,.... so he had the mustang 'empowered' to get even, and he did. Naturally I just HAD to get me a couple off new camshifts and and new airfilter. I also removed the spare wheel and even the passenger seats  Shocked    .... ....... then he went and sold the Mustang laugh

So I say to all you good men off Power and Glory, that this is heart-blood for old Hotkeys  Grin Grin

However, a simulation-game has very little to do with reallife, redlight racing ( for starters it's SOOOO much cheaper ) so I'll ask for all the help I can posiibly get.

Does anybody have a good setup for the Alfa GTA i wonder ?
It doen't necessarily have to be from Donnington, and any setup will be appreciated. Here's my own attemt with which i manged a 1.25.800. : http://www.filefront.com/16594489/Alfa%20GTA%20test%201.svm

Stig If you're doing 1:25.8s already, I don't think anyone here will be giving you setups  Wink Grin

Nice to hear your tales of real life Alfatestism (is that a real word or did I just invent it Cheesy)

Not tried Alfa yet.I am only a couple of tenths quicker in the Tina Mann than the TR4 which I love to bits
and was quicker in TR4 at the  St Jovites than I was with proper GTA. So may user the old bedstead and
run near the back. Can't remember what times I was getting but they were a couple of seconds shy of 25's

Yesterday I gived a try with the Abarth gr5, and I've to say that is really funny around Doni National!!! With a bit of training me, Pippomox and another italian guy arrived at 1.26.4 in quali setup, but even with full tank laptimes are so close to this after some laps to warm the tires and lighten the car.
For me it's surely impossible to arrive at a 1.25.xxx with the Abarth, and I think that would be difficult even for some alien to brake trough the 1.26. barrier. However this little monster got a low tires wear, and it will be maybe adavtaged for the pit strategy... We will see tomorrow...

Sorry Mike but I won't be doing this'un. Never really like Donny and I'm racing 1970 Prototypes at Watkins Glen GP Friday night with the GTLDK boys (shameless plug) so I need to get some praccy in for that.

EDIT: If there's room I think I might try to take part after all. Have to get some fast praccy in though.

Hi, guys. I haven't been here for a while, but I was told that you are now running P&G2 events. Would it be OK for me to race with you tonight at Donington National? If so, just let me know which cars I would be able to drive. I was thinking about the Lotus Cortina Mann.....

EDIT: Ah, I see that first time drivers are restricted to the Yellow Group. That being the case, I would probably go for the Mini Cooper 1275S.
