I'm very sorry about not starting the server. Didn't think I would be late. Luckily someone else started it.

Qualified third behind Hristo and Tim who put in ridiculously quick times and not surprisingly started to pull away towards the end of the first lap as I held starting position. Clive was very close at the end of the straight on lap one but seemed to outbrake himself and lose a few positions which gave me breathing space for a while. Tim lost it at the hairpin to promote me to second and then Hristo either lost it at the end of the straight or decided to give himself a challenge so I was then in the lead. Jethro managed to close a bit which was quite unnerving, for good reason as it would inevitably turn out! He seemed to close on the hairpin each lap and a few laps later it was clear why! He was obviously barely in control as usual and I was not surprised when he completely lost it and ploughed into me to ruin yet another race. Hope the rest of you had a better race and well done to podium

A right cock up for me , thinking this series was for 2ltr 66's and rehersed my crashing in the lotus 33 only to find it was the big buggers brothers thinks , next time read the bloody rules I decide to take the good old Coop T81 cos I love the car to bits and love this track even more , in fact my idea of heaven is having an eternal tank full of gas , a coop T81 and a Rouen track to play with , unfortunately GPL had other ideas as I only had the de fault set up , which wasn't too bad except for the ruddy gear box , I was losing 2 secs or more out of the hairpin alone , my times were dismal at best, I tried to hard to make the wheels turn faster but to no avail , making silly mistakes in qually and the same in the race, terminating in a snatched 1st gear induced crash at the hairpin and a blown engine

It's because he is using a free file sharing site, they make their money through advertising. If it is a virus risk probably better just to rely on the championship table when the results are uploaded.

You can download the race replay from here : http://www.megaupload.com/?d=5WHEUFZM Again an external file host, like imagebam above, and not a virus risk. And if you use Firefox with adblock plus, pop-up blocker will prevent pop-up, and adblock will erase any on the page adverts.

ok Syd.
It was just that in all the years ( god! I sound old!!) of using the forum I had never had anything like that happen. So I thought I would raise it ..just in case we had been infiltrated.

Wasn't expecting much from this as I only managed a quick practice before the race & never normally seem to get on top of Rouen so 3rd was a real bonus . Managed a PB in qually to get 5th but then had a panic just before the start when all the text on my screen turned into black boxes & I couldn't see how many laps the race was (thanks Phil for letting me know just in time in chat). Rushed to get the race fuel in & get on the grid & after all the faffing about messed up the start completely losing places off the line to Evil & Jethro (apologies to Goran who got bogged down behind me). After that I just tried to get a steady race pace going & thanks to a few incidents ahead found myself back up to 5th. That became 3rd after Dave got Jethro'ed & by then I was actually beginning to get the hang of Rouen & wondered if I could hold on to the last podium place. Was looking good for most of the race but then Syd started getting bigger & bigger in my mirrors. I was usually able to buy a bit of time on the exits but Syd was clawing it all back under braking & after a few laps outbraked me at the end of the long straight. Was gutted to lose 3rd so then tried hard to take it back in the remaining laps - in fact I was so busy battling Syd that I never realised until we were back in Igor that Tim had retired & I was back in 3rd by default anyway . More of a reward for consistency than outright pace but great fun racing Syd in those closing stages. Congratulations to Hristo on winning in the BRM & to Syd for 2nd. Commiserations to Dave.

Using this as a bit of practise to get used to the car for the spec race, I was expecting to be somewhere near the back....and I was!
Slightly disappointed to get lapped with only 1 turn left, but being 7 seconds a lap down on pace I guess it was fortunate not to happen sooner.
WD Podium. Commiserations to Dave losing out on a good result.

Sorry, Steve, I feel a bit bad lapping people right at the end and robbing them the chance to gain any possible position on their last lap, but I was on a very good lap and wanted it completed. As it turned out it was my fastest of the race. Just an old habit to push for a good lap at the end of a race...

Really gutted - and still have absolutely NO idea how I crashed on what is probably the easiest corner Happy with my pace in the race otherwise as I was nearly 2 seconds a lap up on the rest of the field even once Hristo had made good his escape. Well done to the finishers, and bad luck Dave

I messed up the last lap too which didn't help. I'm missing something at Rouen, but I'll find it one day.
