How come we're talking about Sebring ( ) in a Charade race thread? Funny, I did a Charade race only a month ago I'm sure... but I just can't think of the track layout (that's what age does to ya )

How come we're talking about Sebring ( ) in a Charade race thread? Cos the correct thread didn't exist when the discussion started. But if it helps I'll copy my "Sebring comments" across and we can start again.

So just what is the point of starting at 1600 hrs?
How many blind corners does that generate?

I changed it to 13:00 to make it easier Clive. I'll also calculate the # of laps to make 60 minutes tomorrow night.

Mike, be aware that while Clive doesn't like racing in different lighting conditions & is not shy about voicing that opinion repeatedly... There are plenty of drivers that do enjoy it occasionally.

LOL I don't mind if you want to put a piece of frosted glass in front of your monitor for races Chris. I just want to be able to see the corners. Or are we just trying to make the cars smack into each other? But thanks Mike, much appreciated.

Couldn't agree more. Once in a while it's good to have a bit of sunlight glinting through the trees/buildings. Even a night race once in a series is something that could be considered.

I'm not convinced by PnG rain.
It buggers up visibility and gives my graphics card a heart attack but the cars seem far too well behaved and have way too much grip.

I wonder when some brave soul will set up a rainy night race.
Would be good to see how/if the headlamps deal with it.

we had a gtr2 race in those conditions some six months back... I think general opinion was it was a step too far.

Well, avoiding the obvious response, I think that:- "If your name is not on the list (first time drivers) you are restricted to cars in the Yellow group."should just about cover it!

I too like to mix it up a bit with the lighting. Every race at 16:00 is too much though. I was tempted to run Sebring at 7AM, but the run down the front stretch is completely blind for the entire front stretch.

another big fan of alternate timed lighting here ! Some of the P&G / GTL races look spellbinding when done in dusk/sunsetting lighting conditions stop being a stick in the mud Clive ! Race drivers should be able to race in all lighting and weather conditions
