Looking at the spreadsheet, I just twigged that out of a possible 9 podium finishes so far, the VDA guys have snapped up 8 of them!!!
Mike, when are you going to create another group for them? I'm thinking the Group 2 Mini/Abarth
p.s. congrats to Goldtop for claiming the one other podium finish
Yeah. The VDA guys are performing brilliantly this season. I don't know how they let the Kerbies steal the show last season. They obviously took a season off. Good thing we've got Goldtop and Ade up there keeping them honest. Hopefully I can focus more on racing and less on building my house in the near future. Clive has been stepping up too.
Yes, it's true Mike, yesterday I had another race in Snetterton against Clive, and now he is become a really consistent driver in race pace!! I have to admit that Lele and Ayrton are on another planet til now, Bonni get the Ruzza inside, and I'm in a good period with P&G, so VDA team, is getting better than I expected at the start of the champ, but for the next 2 races I won't race, and probably even some other VDA guys will have some problems to race because of their holiday period.
Regarding the previous champ Mike, it was the first season that UK P&G raced on Thursday, unfortunately the day in which we use to race in our P&G champ
... and on the end of September, it will restart again. I would like to keep a slot even for one team of UKP&G guys, if you want to aggregate in this fantastic champ, but obviously it could be possible only if you're going to change your race day I guess... and it won't be easy ^ ^. However, that's sure when I'll have a free Thursday, I'll follow to join your events, as it happens since more than a year! I like so much racing in this place, and I like the efford you put to organize the best championship possible to have close races. At the moment it worked pretty well, but I guess that the pit stop is the focal point of the race, and some of you are experiencing some troubles in it, especially because we don't change tyres, and you can't make a present of 12 or 24 seconds to people like Lele or Ayrton... or you won't reach them again!!!
Ok, let's see what happens tomorrow. Yesterday, in my first approach to Westwood I managed a 1.19.0 with full tank, but I guess I can't go so much faster than this... it was a good lap... Qualifying in front here will be even more important of the previous races with this long straight in which Tinas Alfas and Mustangs are faster than the TR4, and especially of the Abarth Gr.5 of Ruzza boy "Nos Child".
It will be a fight and interesting race... or at least I hope so!
Cu Tomorrow!
