Anyone else doing this event on Saturday? You could even win some sausages laugh or get on 'TV'. Roll Eyes

I've spent a fair bit of the last week testing for it, and look like I might have respectable pace - at least until the tyres go off. On about lap 5. Shocked

I popped into a practice server between my Jetta race and the England match tonight and couldn't resist the temptation to slap the qualifying grill tape on and set the best lap. angel

Pity it's on so late at night; still, I've got 90 minutes to chill out after my ORO race before it starts. Shocked

Late at night?, what sort of time?

11pm - race will be about 2 hours. Alright for you youngsters but I'll be struggling to stay awake. wheelchair

I think the winners will be the ones who can manage their tyres best. Driving flat out will kill them in about 4 laps. Shocked

Huh That page says Carl Edwards is  Huh

I think qually was still on when I posted.

Strange that Edwards is there at all though - I guess he's not racing in the Sprint Cup at Infineon tomorrow, as both races are on simultaneously. Huh

EDIT: oh, I see, the Nationwide race is today but it's not broadcast in the US until tomorrow (and not here at all Sad ).

Well, fish me, iRacing have cocked up good and proper this time. 200 laps instead of 50 laps -thinking it was 200 miles instead.

Can I really be wrassed to do a race that won't end until after 2am? Or do I just ask for my Impala B money back?

12th in the top split. Ran an ultra-conservative pace knowing that the tyres turn to jelly after 5 laps if you push them and it paid off.

Would've been an incident-free run too except that I had to drift it across the grass at one point to avoid a car who'd been punted by someone who then went on to have a rant later about a car that put a wheel off, spun and collected him. Muppet.

Well done Dave.

I think Steve Myers was suitably embarassed at his error! Seeing as I seem to manage to make a mistake virtually every time I kick a session off I'm loathed to critisise any further! lol
