I considered using prior season results for reversing the grid, but decided starting fresh would keep things simple and clean. Sebring is a nice and wide track with numerous passing zones so it's a shame we won't be using it in the reverse order. Have you guys ever seen this track with the 7:00 AM morning sun? Try it one time.

Mid-day is the right time to race!

And I've found my way out of the pits by following Graham Hill.

Well I've just managed to get down to a 2:34.0 in the Cobra.
About the same time as I managed in the 'F275 Speciale' on the fractionally longer classic version of the track. So hopefully that's not to bad.

dang your quicker than me in the cobra so far Legz. I was feeling pleased with myself as i whittled away big chunks of time off my lap times, but am still about 1 sec behind you at present. Just need more laps i think, only had half hours worth.
Cars feel good around this challenging track. Smiley

LOL, you might have to crank it up a bit you two.

I must be on the wrong track.

2:30.xxx here in the Willment on Sebring 2005, once I found the way on!

That's my setup for the 289 coupè. I managed a 2.28.3xx, but was possible to go down other 7-8 tenth til now... as ever I hope it would be useful Smiley

That's definitely not a setup matter Mark... it's obvious that you make some mistake with the lines. During the first laps, I always pulled my brakings, and so often I went long respect the right line to keep.... I noticed, that in a couple of corners, if you go wide without following  the line, this car loose immediately grip, and you waste a lot of time. My suggestion with this car, is that of trying to be polite in your lines, avoiding a late braking (front brakes are an issue for me cause of high temp.), and trying to let the car turn from the apex with the gas pedal, with a bit of power oversteer, and some countersteer when it's needed.

Haven't got a clue with these cars. Have fun guys.

Very strange.  I get on better with these than I do the ankle biters.

I've sent you my setup Tudor so you must at least give it a go.   Grin  I can almost guarantee that you won't like it but there you go.

I did two corners with Manteos' setup and then ran back to the pits to get back into my own.  Had to go on foot because it was well bent.

It appears to me, that no matter what power side diff you select in PnG, the outside rear wheel still has the traction and umph to push the car into the corner.  What you vary is the amount of right foot needed to achieve this.  Manteos uses 20% so that he can drive the back end around.  I use 60% to do the same thing.  I have always assumed that the percentage figure indicates the amount of available torque that is directed to the wheel that isn't spinning.  Is this right?

In GPL, one would decrease the ramp angle and lob in some clutches to increase the amount of drive that goes to the non-spinning wheel.  If you did not provide enough torque to the outside wheel then the result of putting your foot on the accelerator in mid-corner would be understeer.  On the other hand, if you provided too much torque to the outside rear wheel then it would spin to the inside of the corner.  In PnG I am still baffled and can only assume that GPL was modelling a range of diff behaviour that is beyond the normal scope of the changes available in PnG.  And perhaps beyond real life diffs.  Certainly beyond me.  Huh

I too have always been confused with the diff settings. Here is what I found from a setup guide.
Increase power - increases understeer under positive throttle
Increase coast - increases understeer under negative throttle
Decrease power - increase oversteer under positive throttle
Decrease coast - increase oversteer under negative throttle
Preload affects how quickly the transition between power and coast differential occurs. The higher the preload, the more gradual the transition.
