Haven't got a clue with these cars. Have fun guys.

Very strange.  I get on better with these than I do the ankle biters.

I've sent you my setup Tudor so you must at least give it a go.   Grin  I can almost guarantee that you won't like it but there you go.

Cheers for that Clive. I'll give it a try later. I really don't think it's a setup thing though; more my driving style or maybe the cars in PnG. Hard to understand how I can win a race by 40 odd secs in a Cobra last week in GTL (a car I've hardy even driven before let alone raced) and be 8 or 9 secs a lap off the pace here Huh

I too have always been confused with the diff settings. Here is what I found from a setup guide.
Increase power - increases understeer under positive throttle
Increase coast - increases understeer under negative throttle
Decrease power - increase oversteer under positive throttle
Decrease coast - increase oversteer under negative throttle
Preload affects how quickly the transition between power and coast differential occurs. The higher the preload, the more gradual the transition.

LOL

That would mean that the coast side is behaving as I would expect but that the power side is the exact opposite.

I think it must be more complicated than we imagine.

How would you expect your real racer to behave?

Think we've been here before.....
Mike's description is spot on as long as there is no wheelspin, with 100% power diff, effectively a welded
diff or no diff at all, the car will want to go straight on. Until you push enough power through the rears that
a wheel spins, in which case both wheels will spin leaving no wheels to grip in the corrner, and out comes the back end.
For big heavy muscle cars I tend to favour low power settings 10/20/30 as I prefer a bit of inside wheelspin
than having the back leaping out of line. Only exception for me so far was the turbo nutter beemer, which
had so MUCH power for it's weight, that it spun both wheels anyway, and would dart from side to side
in an unpredictable manner, so I ran 80 or 90% power, and try to learn to control it. at least it was predictable.

I don't have an adjustable diff. I've got a factory limited slip so I don't know.

i've got severe thunderstorms in the area. the power has flickered on and off 5 times in the last 10 minutes for me. I'm not sure I'm going to be able to finish the race.

I read that same guide many moons ago Mike.
I 100% agree with the coast description.
I 100% disagree with the power description.

Pick a medium power car, put your power at 80%, floor it from low speed & enjoy the car do a 360 (power exit over steer basicly).
Using the same conditions but power on 10%, floor you right foot & there'll be far less car rotation... & hence it's easier to control the horses!

Not such a good race for me, to the point of being boring  Sad

Seemed to be at least a second or two off most peoples pace..i blame only 15mins in the 289 coupe wilment when i'd used the roadster for short praccy  Roll Eyes
Was right on geoffers bumper on about lap 4 when he got out of shape, i hit the anchors when a wheel was on a kerb and it just span me middle of apex. Unfortunately Simon Loynes came round the bend and twatted my rear end giving 95 suspension damage. I soldiered on for rest of the race like a slow lame duck and finished 3rd from last. Sorry to Simon as it must have spoilt his race too.

Cant help feel that the charisma has gone out of our P&G races since we pared down the car choices for races. Undecided I miss the heady excitement of a multi car and class grid packed out on track. Not such a spectacle seeing only a few cars all the same colour and type and attendances have fallen.

I was a second or so quicker in the WIllment, but there seemed to be a flock of them so took the Daytona
which I've used before and rather enjoy, I was a bit slower than the other Daytonas, but had someone
- Keith at first, then Ade and Legzy behind or in front enough to keep it interesting, was sort of shaddowing
Ade./ Legzy/ PR, Ade was having a sound battle with Legzy, and when Legz fell off I nipped through, only to
have him make a mad lunge up the inside, was an easy corner for the Daytona to go wide, and as he quite
rightly did, I went back past  Cool Not one of my better races but fun. At first I thought Mike must have meant
anything but the WIllment as it is generally too quick, but was only a bit faster here. Not a fan of the track
featureless old airfield with vicious kerbs, and way too much pale blue. Also kills frame rates for me, particularly
over the start finish. WIll likely miss all races now until a week on Sunday as I'm away on me jollies
Doing Ermine Street very slowly.... London to York in a variable number of days. Grats to winners, PR for being
1st Daytona, Legz for unreasonably good lap times.

I think that it's a bit early to make that judgement MJ.  Besides this was the spec car race.  Next week is the multi-car package.

We lost quite a few who just put the Cobra in the too difficult pile.  We are also in the middle of "summer" and for a start all of my recently recruited SBRC squad have cleared off to the sun in various formats.

I can't actually blame anyone for not turning up as it was a difficult car and track combo.

If you include the old Nurburgring in any season it's probably the last that you would see of me too, so we all have our breaking point.  Grin

I had a great race and actually finished in front of one Italian!  I'm putting it on my CV tomorrow.

I think that it was Manteos and Pepe that I was fighting with mainly at the start but after they had spat me out I was dangerously close to falling into the clutches of Matt.  Thankfully, once I could take my own lines I managed to pull clear of Matt and hung on for grim death to the rear view of Peppe.  After half distance I decided that I was catching him, probably down to his tyres, and Manteos had appeared just in front of us.

Peppe took to the grass at Tower Bend and I was left to chase Manteos home.  I think that he was feeling lonely and wanted company.

My car was still in good nick at the end could have done another 16 laps if I had put enough fuel in.

Grats to the podium and thanks to Mike and Tudor for an interesting challenge.

Don't forget to mention the WorldCup in SA .

I wanted to race here but there was also a match of the dutch soccerteam and decided to go for that.
Hope to be there next race .

…..it didn’t go to well for me  Roll Eyes
Lack of practice and setup for this track – therefore didn’t trust my Cobra especially in the braking zones.

Still i'm glad I kept other drivers entertained for at least a few laps  Grin  ...…I finally took too much curb while looking for better racing lines while trying to keep up with Geoffers and spun.

Grats to the fast dudes… them quali times where AMAZING.

I had raced the Willment Cobra before & got on quite well with it, but my setup was awful for Sebring. I fiddled with it a bit but could not seem to find anything that improved it. Biggest problem was getting it to brake in a straight line, just seemed to go where it wanted when the brakes were applied.  Undecided

Anyway the race was pretty lonely apart from a few laps trading mistakes with Keith. But managed to keep it on the track for most part & got a finish.  Cool

Congrats to the Italian armada. clap clap clap
