Looking forward to this. After avoiding recent races at VIR & Infineon, it feels like ages since I've raced here. :'(

Yeah - I'm not tired of racing here yet - even after hobbling round in the DP Cheesy

Really looking forward to this one though, hoping it provides a fitting finale to the season.  Been thoroughly enjoyable.

It's been a fantastic season Pops, really enjoyed it!
Thanks for organising it!
Unfortunately I will be on the island of Skomer for a few days... only facilities are a solar panel for minimal power and a cooker!
No mobile phone or tinternet! Smiley
If the weather turns bad you have to wait til the boat can dock to pick you up and there is only the food you took! available! Smiley
Should be fun!

Have fun guys!

Lol another combo i swear we've done before but cant see any evidence of it. The long corners suit me and the car doenst feel like its going to lose grip all the time like the DP and using the brands setup felt a bit much on rails. I've only done a 47.5, i assume most peeps will be in the 45's. Any times so i can get used to the depression of being so far back? Grin

First flying lap...1:46.2, although have to be carefull letting off the throttle in the fast corners (that's all of them at Watkins in this car!) as my rear end is very loose. May do some more practice before Monday, but just too damned hot at the moment.

1:46.6 for me but an optimal of 1:45.8 so there's a bit more to come. That's with race fuel.

Managed a 46.8 yesterday somehow, with fuel.

Will there be a practise server tonight?

I find with high downforce I can drive a lap pretty quick, but with low downforce I can gain up to 1 second up the hill and down the first main straight ALONE, so low downforce will be good for overtaking and with high downforce you'll be a sitting duck. Not sure about ultimate lap time though as you do make up a lot with extra speed through corners and braking later.

So I've gone for a compromise setup with medium downforce which has good balance with decent straight line but also half decent in corners. Optimim is 1:44.8 but I couldn't possibly acheive that, so my best on Q fuel is down to 1:45.5 now. No idea about race fuel, I guess add a second, maybe less as there is so much flat out.

Race fuel, low to mid 1:45's, it's stable and easy to drive.  Don't know about qually pace yet.  It's going to have to do Smiley
