Done my bit. Yes, I am poor. I'm in the 'buy it when you need it' camp as I don't do any racing on the public servers. The roster for each new SROU season entirely dictates my purchases.

No point in me filling the spreadsheet as I've got nothing apart from basic content but I will be buying when necessary... I'm poorer than Brendan

That was a truly horrible experience because I've just realised how much I've spent on this racing thing

Looks like I've bought 28 items in the 8 months I've been an iR member. Chuck in subscription fees & I reckon that must be about £250 for probably about 50 races so far I must remember to wipe "Mug" off my forehead.

Yes, and replace it with 'carp at maths' 86 road + 83 oval = 169 races Personally I don't care about the number of races. I enjoy the practice at least as much, and taking this into account the costs are fairly trivial compared to my other hobbies (or more importantly my daughters' :'().

No way I've done 169 races!!! (Don't tell my Mrs ) I thought 50 might be on the conservative side, but 169 Ah well, not as bad as I thought (races per £ wise), but I'm not going to get my head round it being anything but expensive any time soon.

Do the overal stats for a member include hosted races? I assume not as no other info seems to be retained for them e.g. fastest laps.

No, Hosted races aren't logged. I installed that game logging service Raptr in March(ish). I'm surprised to see how many hours I've logged in iRacing so far! To me, if I think of iRacing as a game then it does seem expensive but if I think of it as a hobby, it ain't so bad

Raptr is bad news ..... although I've only logged 102 hours on iRacing since installing the Raptr client. As you say, it's an expensive game, but as hobbies go .... it's got a long way to catch up with photography!! Although a race frame, and eyefinity triple screens would make it closer .
