I'm going to run Fuji in GTR2 shortly, so anyone who races this one will have a good head start on the non-PnG'ers. (but shh, don't tell them shifty Wink)

I'd imagine the banked turn would work well for the GTR2 cars with their added adjustability and additional downforce. I wouldn't mind running a Viper there as long as I'm even on # of stops.

At first I thought "what a strange track to pick for a race in the Cortinas", but on second thought I said to myself, "what a very strange track to pick for a race in the Cortinas",  Grin  Grin  Grin Not really my cup of tea this one - think it's way too long for close racing.

But I'm gonna try my luck anyway, the more people on track, the more fun, especially on a long track like this one. Who knows, we might end up racing 3 cars side by side in the fast leaning curves  Shocked

My guess is, that good setups will be very imortant for this race.
I have very little experience with the Cortina myself. Anyone who'd like to share a good setup ?

my thoughts exactly, i doubt a cortina has ever set foot tread on the far eastern tarmac of Fuji ! Tongue  odd choice Mike !
Still think something with a bit more oomph would have been more interesting on this track and im not that inspired to put the practise time in..but in all fairness i havent tried it yet, it may surprise  Undecided

I had quick run, and it is quite fun. flat through the 1st turn is nice. more power would have been more
challenging. Didn't we run here in GTL some time ago with Pantys and 914s or something?

& the cars were too fast for an average driver (I'm promoting myself Grin) to do anything other then hope he'd cling on at T1.

Happy to wait an see. Might get on track by 10pm for a few laps tonight.

okay so its not as bad as i feared after a few laps this eve, albeit not exactly scintillating. My drive to work is faster  Wink

1:50 qual for me so far and 1:51 with race fuel (40mins).

1:51 in race setup so far, but hope to knock 1-2 secs off that yet.

I think it's a good combination. T1 is exciting in any car, T2 is very tough to get anything like right. Work it through the curves & then control the slides as you accelerate onto the home straight, where you get to enjoy the anticipation of gaining/getting away from your nearest rival in slow mo... Works for me Smiley

Managed a 1.49.500 on race fuel and could probably cut another second on low fuel, if I had the time to do a lot more laps.
My guess is, that the aliens will do 47's or even 46's once they've burned some fuel  Grin

If you still can't log on, try doing a new registration. For a long period, and for no apparent reason, I had to do a new registration everytime i logged on  ; I'm now at Hotkeys13  Grin Grin. The problem has now mysteriously disappeared ........  Shocked
