All the cars are part of the PnG mod, no addon cars are used. You are running version 2.1?

Surely the last reverse grid for me... A lot of things I really dislike in this formula... the first is the way some people interpretate to defend their position... not funny at all.

Cu for the next non reverse grid race. Bye

That was tough going whilst it lasted. Takes a lot of concentration to keep it on the black stuff at this track.

Stayed top 7 for 13 laps of 22 then got a tyre wide on grass round the back half of the circuit and was just a passenger as the car slammed head first into the tyre wall..engine killed and suspension busted. Getting rather too familiar ending for me lately in P&G  Embarrassed

The top guys had way more momentum than me everytime out of that last corner onto the straight. Must be a setup tweak i missed. Stiffer springs and/or different ratio ?  I was on 40/45 springs and 19/37 final drive.

Kudos to whoever held it together for 22 laps and wins...you'll have earnt it  Cool

ps, sorry but i dont like the reverse grid either, people should earn their grid slot IMHO, but it did make it fun to watch from my cockpit as the fast honchos caught and passed me with various clever moves or outright pace.  Smiley

hmm.... maybe you should have a real good look a the replay Manteos. You're not exactely driving like a sissy yourself  Grin and by the incident where you end up on the hillside, it looks as if were lucky not to push the driver in front of you off the track  Shocked .

Wasn't a great race for me... started at the back but took it easy for the first few laps. Raced hotkeys for a couple of laps until he retired, and was trying to catch up with Alex 10s up the road, and suddenly he was in the middle of the road near the last turn, and I managed to avoid both him and the fence....

After that I was on my own just trying to get to the finish in one piece, but went wide before the last turn and was just a passenger into the barriers. Both engine & suspension kaput   Angry . Not too upset, I was running last at that point.

I enjoyed the track, but I'll reserve judgement on the reverse grid after a couple more races....

Well I quite enjoyed that. Not a classic, but I was pretty busy from start to finish & it's certainly a challenge in itself that track (what ever the car) let alone when your side by side at full tilt then heavy braking at the last possible second while doing your best to hold the sideways slide inches away from the other car as it goes past you round the outside entering T2... eh Mike Shocked Shocked Shocked Great move mate Cool

Manteos, I wonder if it would be useful for you to remember that you have 40 mins to get to the front? Sometimes the challenge of pressuring a driver from behind without making contact & earning the position sweatdrop can be as much/more fun then just forcing a move at the 1st corner you catch them.

Patience has it's own rewards. That's how I feel anyway, you don't have to agree of course Wink

Hope to see you at the next one, enjoying the thrill of the chase. euro

Stig / Hotkeys

It's better if I don't make comment on this Hotkeys... you can't talk about lucky... you was lucky that I avoided you when you braked 50 meters than people usually do in that corner...
Probably it's a mine issue, but for me it's only dangerous to race in the middle of the group, when people get a too different braking points than me... and it's simply not funny, but that's only mine opinion. Reverse grid simply doesn't fit to me, but I guess some other VDA mates enjoyed the race and they will follow to race in the reverse grid events.
It's a matter of taste...

@Legzy: you are right, patience it's not my strenght probably, but I bet that everyone would have been surprised by the braking point of Hotkeys in that corner... so the patience can do nothing in that case. I'm not saying that Hotkeys was unfair, at the opposite, I wasn't able to calculate where he would have brake, but was too much before of any worse prediction I have done in that moment. So probably, I'm not the right man to fight in the middle of the group.
Probably I will make an attempt again in this series, when I'll come back from my vacation in August... I don't like to give up in this way,  so you'll surely see me again even in the Reverse series... but I'll take it as the last chance for this kind of race.

Sorry for the delay of my answer Goldtop.

VDA Loris Temporin forum name is: "(VDA) MinholoS"

Giuseppe is not a VDA teammate, but if I'm not wrong, Giuseppe Reali forum name is... "Giuseppe Reali"... nothing easier ^ ^, I've just checked it in the first page of this topic, so you can trust in me Smiley

Well I was completely umprepared to this race cause work. Luckily I had to start last on the grid. I lasted trying to learn the track till 10th lap when I got wide before last turn and I was done on the barrier :-(
Sorry to have joined in qualy, but my three previous attempts failed with a cheater message followed by a CTD. I could join only when I picked the last Cortina in the list.

Was a disaster for me, partly my fault. partly bad luck. I was a victim of Matteo's hard chasing, not intentional
of course, and it's very tempting to get as close to someone as possible in the last corner, but I was tapped
into a half spin as I lifted slightly (and I mean "slightly" ) earlier than the aliens, and ended up going off into
the barrier, and spinning across the track in several people's way. No biggie, it happens, just lost me some places
Then I was surprised by MIke coming up the inside on the run up to the last bend, when I was concentrating
on not hitting Alex, put a wheel on the grass giving him room, and went into the evil tyres, engine dead, game over

A narrow track for close racing, and everyone seemed to have very different lines/braking points for various corners
I was following PR into T1, I assumed no one every lifted, but he did  Shocked nearly had me over the fence trying to
emergency stop. next lap I am expecting it, so go real low, and he comes down and we touch... ok I give in  Roll Eyes
Interesting and challenging track, but was not good for racing last time we used a variant of it for me.

Oh, and the double file rolling start doesn't work with Europeans. people seemed unsure of who they should be
alongside. I tried but kept getting my nose chopped off by the person I "thought" I was supposed to be next to...
so just went single file like most people seemed to be doing.

I like the reverse grid idea, but it needs patience from the back of the grid, and it needs a wide track with safe passing places, which this was not.
TI Aida )Okayama the other side of the hill would be a good place for this sort of thing IMHO

Tried the track and the car. Couldn't make it round after 15 laps even with conservative driving. Will join next time if there's something I can enjoy - either the car or the track. Glad you others liked it. Smiley
