Glad it all went well.

I joined praccy briefly, but not really having driven this car on the road very much, it was always going to be an uphill struggle.  I decided my time would be better spent elsewhere - but I'll definately be making next weeks race.

Looks like it was a decent turnout, well done Oily!

My race went pear shaped at the bottom of the hill on lap 1 when I got nudged round by Jari after he ran wide. Looks like a combination of him getting a slight wiggle on, a bit of warp and possibly me not leaving as much room as I could, so just one of those things I think. Had fun chasing back towards the front, but the steering was bent and made it really tough to push in some places. In the end I ran wide at T1 and lost most if not all of the time I had gained, so I had to do it all again. By the end I was right behind Michael Japp but didn't have enough time to get past.

Grats to Dave on a great win & thx to Oily for setting things up. I can't see me being much of a threat with races so late on a Friday though - too much time beforehand to have a couple of beers  whistling

Really enjoyed last night's race even after been put off the track in T1  nono

However the LM seems a solid steed and even after a few offs later on all of my own doing was still running at the end Wink Had a few battles on the way but I enjoy driving the LM so much it was just fun to be there.

Must apologise to Dave, James and Adam. Well dodged as I did a 360 spin at the long right hander at the far end of the circuit. I struggled more at that corner than any other with the back coming around on me unexpectedly. Sometimes it's planted through there other times it's like someone has halved the grip at the back.

Not looking forward so much for next week's race. I suck at the cars and don't have any pace at the track so expect to be a good 5 secs off the aliens pace.

First time in the late model I was hopeless, around 5 secs off pace and once or twice per lap off track.
Even though Gizmo's (gongrats on the win) setup helped a lot there was not enough time to improve my driving. I therefore decided to leave the race.
Looking forward to next friday because I know the track and like the Spec Racer Grin and thanks to Oily for setting
this up.

Hi guys,
apologies if i caused any trouble. I was still trying to get to grips with my new G27 and i have not driven the LM in ages.... Overall i was fairly ok with my qualy at 1:01.6, i had the tank half full as it seemed like the car was stabler that way. I just could not get the feel for it although i did think i had more speed in me....

Then race started and i had a great start. I was watching Paul fight with someone else (i think it was Jari) and then at the back straight they were side by side... so i took the corner slower expecting a bit of a tussle... i tussle there was... .so i tried to avoid Paul by going wide off the left on the second part, only to be collected into the gravel and pretty much last....

I then started to fight my way back up but the combination of a slightly bent car with lack of familiarity with my G27 meant that i could not put safe laps together... as i was about to be lapped i lost it on T1 and decided to park before i ruined someone's race....

Look forward to another event! i am going to be in paris friday but i will keep my ears on the ground on the lookout for more racing!

Cheers

Nice one Fabs, really glad you could make it - we've got a week gap after this Friday (next race will be 6th August) but there's a Riley race tomorrow at Brands in the main championship series if you're up for it?

In case you hadn't clocked it already - to see what other events are forthcoming just check out the lists in the top right of the screen..
