Resets: One fast tow permitted

Start: Standing start

Flags: local only

Password: see above

Please make sure you are fully aware of the UKiR Rules - particularly the rules about general conduct and in-game chat messages.

NOTE: All sessions protected by the main password, there is no seperate 'pre-event practice'

A couple of notes re. Blue Flags during qualifying and race where they differ from GTR2;

Blue Flags during qualifying - if you see a blue flag during qualifying it will be on your outlap and the driver approaching is on a hotlap. Please take this into account and act accordingly. The driver behind does not know you are on an outlap so no rash moves out of the way please  Usual SRouk rules / guidelines should be applied.

Blue Flags during the race -  if you see a blue flag during the race it means the driver approaching is about to lap you. Please take this into account and act accordingly. It differs from GTR2 in that you will not be penalised for not allowing the lapping driver to pass within a certain period. The flag is informational only. Usual SRouk rules / guidelines should be applied.

Welcome to the world of volunteering your time to organise races for other people Oily Cool...

I can't believe you've organised a race here Angry. My PC can barely handle Laguna, but that's never a problem as I hate it in most cars (including Skippy & Solstice)... but I will give it a go in the Legend.  angel Grin

Good poster though x Wink

So pace wise are they close to each other? Can see this as getting rather boring if there are only a few people in each 'class' if they are too different.

Yep that was my only reservation Legz, I realise it's pretty graphics heavy but at this track in particular they match up pretty nicely which is why I wanted to kick off with this one.

The Skippy and Spec should be the quickest around here but the Legend is really close, and it's also quick at different points around the circuit to the others...when you can get the power down cleanly of course Wink

I suspect the Legends will be like Marmite but I think they're an absolute hoot. Hopefully from that mix everyone will be able to find a car they can at least tolerate for 40 mins!

I have the Legend & Spec Racer but not Skippy. Do I have to have that car installed to race along side it?

At the moment yes.
I think you come from a GPL background? If you do, then you'll likely enjoy that car a fair bit.

I think that's probably a fair description, but I'm sure other iR'ing GPL'ers could confirm?

Welcome Colin - can't comment on the comparison with GPL having not driven it but it's certainly a car you drive almost in a permanent slide...really good fun although I think it'll have to be a Legend for me.

Cheers Andy -hope you can make it bud, this should be a cracking race with a decent sized field.

Well I'm looking at a 1:41.5 at the moment - reckon there's probably another half a second or so in it for me but I'm sure you're about to tell me different Smiley

I got down to a 1.40.5 on low fuel. I think the spec racer and the legend are quite close, but the skippy is somewhat quicker - a second or more?

Quicker than me!? Consider yourself banned. This is how the race direction job works right?  Grin

Seriously though, that's a nice time, you just feel free to share that setup whenever you feel like it Wink

Yep sounds about right on the car differences - more or less in line with what I've been seeing.

Pretty much so. The Skippy has the power of thr GPL 65's but not the grip. Probably a 65 that slides like a 67 best describes it.
