I suspect the Legends will be like Marmite but I think they're an absolute hoot.

They are a doubly absolute hoot round Summit. Maybe one to think about sometime.

Pretty much so. The Skippy has the power of thr GPL 65's but not the grip. Probably a 65 that slides like a 67 best describes it.

No Ken, the skippy has only about half the power of a 65 car. As you say though, it slides around nicely and has such a fantastic balance. As far as I'm concerned it is and always has been the best iRacing car. Despite the slow speeds there is enough to challenge even the best drivers, so I would recommend it to anyone, especially a GPL fan.

Yes Paul, I was a bit of a rough comparison.

I have heard this season the skippy is a bit easier than last so will be aiming to stick with that.

Well done Colin - good to have you aboard!

I know the feeling well Pops but if you persist that car can be seriously rewarding. I was convinced there was something up with my pedals when I first drove the thing lol. I'm sure somebody else can do a much better job of explaining but for me it was just a case of getting on the throttle early and using it to balance the car. Brands Indy was where it properly clicked for me finally, seemed like a nice track to put it through it's paces.

The Skip should be comfortably quickest so in theory you won't need to rag the hell out of it to be in amongst the field. It's a tough choice though, I'd like to have a go in both but as I have to decide, it's got to be the Legend for me as I've barely used it in anger.

Must remember to post a setup for the Legend later!

Having fun in the Skip? Maybe there are different models there. Tongue
Since Pops gave me a usable setup I could actually drive the Spec around tracks. Of course, that was long time ago so if I can do this again I will join. Smiley

Having recently bought Skippy, I could try and join the race tomorrow evening... I will skip quali and start in the back just in case Dave's hint on LODPct doesn't give results...

Well I'm on the cusp of getting a 1:42 in the Leg-end.

I can see me loving this car for hopefully more future races. It has instant fun appeal Cool

p.s. The Skippy is still as carp & little fun as ever Roll Eyes

Well, Spec is less stable than I remember and I spin a lot. Have made 1.42.7 in my lucky lap but I will either be slower in the race or crash. We'll see. Smiley

P.S. Any decent setup for Legend or Skip might be handy at [email protected]  Wink

Good work that man - my best is still currently a 41.5 but that was after quite a few laps I have to admit. Looks like we'll probably be up close and personal once again tonight Legzina  Kiss. Hopefully not quite as close as @ RA last week lol.
