Cracking race, even if I have to admit I got too close to Craske while chasing him. Twice. Embarrassed Sorry. First time I hooked the tyre on a kerb in the chicane and the car just went it's own way and I could't neither swerve or stop. Second time was just eagerness and the time running out. Roll Eyes I'm glad you made it to the top, Craske. You never forget the first one. Wink
Grats on the quali time, Pete. And bummer for tyre usage. Can anything be done to fix this? His car wan't really that faster and having to stop got him out of the pody reach. Sad
Had  almost 30 worn tyres myself in the end. Car was understeary like hell. Wouldn't be any difference if I took front meds from the start, lol. Roll Eyes
Cracking race again, Craske. This track is too narrow, really, to utilize teh advantages of Vertigo in the wet. Couldn't get along on the outside like I did with sbg at Brno in the GTC class. Well might be different in the pure dry. Worse for the Vertislowblow, I'm sure. Cheesy
Cya next. Cool

Had a good entertaining race, shame that more people didn't give it go & it was just the ten of us. I thought it was a very simple little fun track that was easy to learn but challenging to master Smiley

Nice to see a little rain too in this freakish hot summer we're having Cool

I did enjoy that except for that tyre wear, I had over 1 wear per minute so realised very early on I'd need to stop because I would have ended up with about 55 wear in total in the 40 mins. I suspect you might be able to dial some of that wear out it you're half decent at setting the car up. Sadly I'm not.

Never done a pole lap before, so weird being in front it was about 5 laps in when I realised I hadn't turned on car labels  Grin

Took a couple of laps to work out the layout but being nice and short was easy to get the hang of. Good fun track in the GT3 class. Shame on you who didn't try it  Tongue

Craske, how much were your tyres worn? I'm still not decided about which car to take, so... Smiley

Great race....  I was feeling good about this combo, the porsche seemed to be tailor made for this track and I hardly had to change anything set-up wise, practice started and I got a couple of laps in and my game crashed, so quickly fired it back up ran another lap time and I got connection lost.... was starting to doubt my chances of racing by this point, but got back in with enough time to run 1 more timed lap in practice and was amazed to go straight to the top.

Then came qualy and I was keen to get out and run a lap without traffic but this didn't work out as I seemed to catch it all up on my timed lap  Undecided , managed a low 1.54 for my first attempt and was happy that was all I was going to get out of it, then decided to try the medium slicks, came back out and hit a fluky 1.53 on my first timed attempt, which got me pole Cheesy, for about 5 mins until Peter beat it to put me second.

Then came the race and I found myself driving a defensive line from the second we started to the very end of the race, 40 laps with TT nailed to my bumper, I knew he was faster and had we of been a bit further down the field I probably would have given up the position to him. But we wasn't further down the field we were 2nd and 3rd for the first 20 laps and then 1st and 2nd  for the rest, so I wasn't about to make it easy (sorry TT but I really wanted the win). As it was I managed to fend off all of his attacks and keep the place.

TT did smack me a couple of times from behind spinning me off track but both times was kind enough to wait for me  Tongue .

There was one other incident where TT tried to get between me and the wall at the start of the long straight where we had a little contact, I put this down to a racing incident and as neither of us benefited from it I decided to keep the position.  (Again TT sorry if this was my fault)

As stated by others this was my first UKGTR win and I chuffed as punch with it, specially since I had to work so hard to stop TT from nicking it off me.

Thanks to everyone involved in organising these amazing races, and congrats to
Peter and TT for 2nd and 3rd

I am shocked people didn’t like this combo, seemed to me that these cars suited this track incredibly well.

I stopped looking at tyre wear and decided to turn XD off lol. They were well worn and slidy by the end though.
