Whilst concentrating on my steering wheel and it's various settings I sat on the the grid and for the 2nd time this series failed to engage brain 1st gear. Sorry to whoever it was behind me.

Don't know how Ade manages to get that Healey to go so fast but he seemed to be keeping Legzy honest for the whole race.

Bill and I had our usual comedy of errors but highly enjoyable for all that. This week I came out on top.

i didn't really have a clue about the relative strength of the available cars, but the elan being reserved to newcomers i was expecting it to be a bit better and easier to driver, so i choose that one, but honestly i didnt know it was that much faster hehe otherwise i would have gone with a jaguar  angel

after skipping the quali for obvious reason, i found myself in a big battle mainly with drake and sqter, we passed each other a few times in close maneuvers but all in great fairness, very exciting ...  Tongue

once i could pass and take full advantage of my fastest car i tried to make up time, could pass goeffers when he crashed out and then was trying hard to close the huge gap i had to the first 4 guys, but 2 huge mistakes (all alone) left me pretty much all alone on track  Shocked

i enjoyed racing with you guys, see you next week in a jaguar so i will be at my right slot (mid-packer hihi)  Cool

congrats to the podium guys and everyone else participating

Towards the end I had to hold off Phil Gilliland, and just managed it, to finish in 6th. Even though it was my lowest finish of the season, this feels like my best race, just because of the fights Smiley.

It was a cracker Syd and you drove a blinder. I gave it all I'd got in the last few laps but you didn't crack under pressure - well done, great race.

First things first...

Mike - sorry you had to go, but unfortunately work does come first Undecided

SpecialKS aka Eifelblitz - That really sucks man Sad... I think my OS is getting unstable so maybe I should do myself a favor and do a redo before I loose anything..

Tony - Good you got the G25 fixed Grin. Hope it stays that way.. I'm on my second G25 after 9 years with the same old school Logitech formula force wheel(not the crappy later versions) that was simply bulletproof.. Hope it stays working Wink

Race report - Wow what a close race.. I'm pretty sure API was a bit quicker than me and if he was in front at the beginning he would of simply drove away. But because API is a gentleman driver Wink I was just barely able to stay in front for the race Smiley. Good stuff API Wink
What a lovely track this one is.. I have to say the early British track builders really knew what they were doing. Brands Hatch, Oulton Park, Crystal Palace, Aintree and of course Cadwell Park. Like Mike was talking about in practice... Has it all.. Elevation change, on and off camber stuff, some good fast corners and some very technical slow stuff. There are some exception's but I personally feel a good track must have all of the above to truly be a great track.. Grin No modern Hockenheim type tracks for for me Tongue It's just a glorified Karting track now :'(

Congrats to API for a well fought 2nd place and grats as well to Legzy for a solid podium for 3rd Wink
