Hello all,

I am back after a few years of being away playing fighter sims. I signed up for iRacing which looks really cool. As I get back up to speed, I look forward to racing with you all on iRacing. I have a new G27 wheel coming on Monday. I hope to be on iRacing Monday night. Word has it that there will be a fun race Friday night with the Mazda. It would be great to try it out. Rest assured you will have one more driver to beat, well .... not for long LOL  Tongue

Hi. Always nice to have a new driver in the races Smiley

Our next iRacing event is the first race in a new season in the Mazda on Tuesday (August 3).

A practice server will be available the day prior (Monday Evening)

That's actually the 'late model' (Monte Carlo SS) at Mid-Ohio on Friday = HERE

It's normally an oval car, but it's been noticed by many how much fun it is on the road tracks Cool

Very Cool,

Raced a Late Model at a 1/4 mile oval in Mason Michigan. Last year I attended a drivers school at Mid Ohio with my MINI. It was a blast!

Look forward to joining you all. Should be a great race.

Now I got to figure out how to drive a Late Model from right to left instead of just left. Do they do that?  laugh

Yeah, one of the default setup options is for road tracks. It's OK but can be improved. I tend to nick shared ones on the night as I'm too lazy to download them in advance Cheesy

p.s. the late model race @Zandvoort is actually a week Friday not this Friday (which is the V8 Ford Falcon @Mid-Ohio) sorry

NP,

Well I am glad you cleared that up. I could have been driving the wrong car on the wrong track possibly going the wrong way in the wrong time zone with the wrong race group. What a concept  laugh

Thanks mate

It may look like a late model but text claims to be the Ford V8 Falcon  Undecided

Looks like a Falcon to me. Not ugly enough to be a Late Model. Wink

They did outstanding work recreating MID Ohio. All the fun challenges are there. After hot lapping a bit, I found this track to be very realistic to the way I remember it. Now I just got to dial in this car so I can apply all the tricks they told me about to race this track. The fun begins  Wink
