Nice time Ade with race fuel. I best do some full fuel laps now to see where i'm at, though i often find the car actually handles better with a fuel load. Apparently thats what those clever Porsche racing folk also did.

Matt, if your having trouble with the back end coming round on you, its a stiffer front end you need ! My laptimes were done with 130lb front springs and 90 rear.

Ta MJ, yes, more or less what I have done, I've set it up as if it was an M1A, with very hard front, and I treat the
kerbs like they have embedded anti personnel mines in them. 1:37.3 so far.

Are the test IROCS available? SBG suggested they are slower. I can;t go fast in any.

I say that after testing at previous IROC race (Birmingham?). I couldn't get the same pace out of them but, as you mentioned, it felt slightly eaiser to drive.

Here's my setup for pink IROC if your desperate http://www.filefront.com/17210543/911iroc.svm Slower bits are real fiddly but fast stuff is great Smiley

you've done a 1:37.3 already and are asking for setup tips ?! cheeky bugger  Wink

The test IROCs are not slower for us, only for AI i believe, as they have alternative default setups..ie the Evo1, 2 etc.

Ive been using the sexy orange one. Cool

I was getting much the same pace with the Black Bobby Unser and the military Greeny brown test one
The Black one felt a bit more "disconnected" from the road. I thought the idea was that the IROCS were all
indentical, maybe pink reflects the light more efficiently, giving at a straight line advantage...

while we are happy with our hard earned 1:37's, has anyone noticed the AI can do it in 1:34's ?!!  Shocked  I dont get how as if you watch them, they seem far sloppier in some corners and not discernibly faster anywhere than i feel i am going myself. I think that because they constantly blip the throttle they can carry more speed in the tighter turns than we can get away with on our controllers, unless you use manual clutch maybe?
No doubt our Italian amici will be along soon posting their 1:35's !  :'(

come on Ginsters...spill the beans, whats your pB ?

Made a slight improvement to my times, took 3/10ths off to do 1:37.3 qual and 1:37.5 race.

I did try your setup but though i found its turn in much superior, i also found its 'turn-around' more common !  Embarrassed Too sloppy for my non-alien hands.

Ginsters was spotted at 1:36.0 last night.

I know this because Simon took great delight in texting me to let me know that I was over two seconds off the pace!

My boss tried to get me to work in the city tomorrow. I said no knowing that Ginsters was coming to the track. I better practice for this one.

i feel a bit downbeat, i must have done about a 70-100 laps around here now (had a rare spare time week!) but still cant get into the 36's  Sad  35's is just 'wow', ya fast buggers.

Tried all sorts of spring and arb settings without making any headway below 37.3  taz

ah well, will watch the quick boys from here race the feisty Italians and maybe pick up some places as the race goes on.
