phewee, that was very tough racing.
Those cars sure give your neck muscles a work out !!
Before this evening i would have been very happy to get a 4th place finish but now i feel slightly disapointed, eheh !
Chaos reigned at the start as we all sat waiting for a green light but it was just reds on/off and several appeared to jump start from the back and got instant stop & go's
which was a shame, followed by several then going off at T1
It seemed like half the field left in the first 9 laps
Anyhoo, after T1 chaos i weeved my way through to 3rd being chased hard by Lazlow. He got by me after several laps of hard chasing but then promptly outbraked himself at the now hazardous T1 a lap or 2 later
An italian was way out in front with me 2nd for a few laps then he disapeared (disco or stacked it - not sure)
so i found myself leading the race with a decent 5 sec gap over chasing Matt and Ian which lasted until about lap 17 when i got squirelly off a kerb and ran wide, dropping to 3rd
Then Matt had an off, back upto 2nd
no chance of catching or beating Ian, even when he had an off allowing me to close, he promptly shot off again.
Then with what looked a certain podium on the cards, the rapid Guiseppe Real reeled me in as my cars back end got looser and looser with a 22wear on the rear left and on the final blinking lap he made a great move up the inside of me up the hill to nick my hard fought for pody slot :'(
4th place was better than i expected with so many rapid drivers but theres always a chance when so easy to make a mistake on the limit in these cars, so always something to race for
Congrats to Ian, Matt and Guiseppe.
