GTL UK Launch Races

To coincide with the UK (and elsewhere?) release of GT Legends lets meet up and have some fun.

ALL UKGTL'ers WELCOME!

Date: Friday 4th November

Practice: 8:15pm (30 mins) - Get to show off your winning cars, but we should stick to single makes for the races (see below)
Qual: 8:45pm (15 mins)
Warmup: 9:00pm (2 mins)
Race 1: 9:02pm (20 mins) - STANDING START - Lotus Cortinas ONLY
Race 2: 10:05pm (20 mins) - STANDING START - Mini Cooper ONLY

Track: Suggestions Welcome, or random on the night
Race Time: 14:00

Password: usual practice password

Fingers crossed arranging this doesn't bring bad luck and that everyone who has pre-ordered gets the game on the day  Shocked

Unless we get a means to cheat, the process of winning enough money to buy a decent car might mean about a year for me Shocked

WTF does the online play have to these stupid restrictions  Undecided

It's very strange that GTL isn't yet released in UK.
We have it here in Portugal em several big stores, including Vobis and Worten since 20/10.
In fact is on sold everywhere here in Portugal.

Picnic, there is a cheat so you can unlock all the cars. Fairly easy to find in the GTL forum over at RSC.

Track: Suggestions Welcome, or random on the night
Race Time: 18:00 (should have a nice twilight look  )

May i suggest we make it 14:00 race time so as to maximise everybody's framerate (especially people that will have had about 5 minutes to tweak their game options).

We should not use any of the GP tracks with the cars selected yet I reckon. The short circuits are brilliant fun for these cars.
The 2 we did last night were fine (the first 2 in the list), but any of the short circuits will do. The short circuits are...

Nurgurgring Mullenbach
Magny Cours Club
Hockenheim Short
Mondello Park Short
Anderstorp North
Anderstorp South
Dijon Prenois Short
Nurburgring Sprint
Monza Junior (last cause the frame rate here seems to be worse than other circuits)

BTW, you also win money in online races, so there are plenty of ways to earn credits.

Cool Cheesy Don't visit RSC unless I have to, I'm too impatient and it is so slow most of the time.

Ok, changed as this is probably prudent Wink

Cheers Shark, will stick to this order so people have a chance to practice if they get time.

But you're good enough to win them, I expect 8th and 9ths pickup peanuts Wink

Oh no, I just had to do it!
Didn't realise how much there was to do in the career mode, I even got fed up after unlocking (cheating) 35%.
Now I've got enough dosh to buy the cars I'am interested in.

Goddamit I have to buy the game now Sad Wink

(Assuming it actually runs) I'll act as a kind of mobile chicane for you all then, seeing as I won't know the cars, the tracks and will probably be running at 25fps until I figure out the graphics!

Oh dear, miss races or buy GTL... I saw there is a UKGTL section in the championships bit too...

Damn you all for forcing this decision on me :-)

Indeed, although sources tell us that that limit will be lifted in an upcoming patch. Cool
