Good fun in the Lister, having a very close race with Jayblue and Ginsters Grin

Started 4th, kept 4th until the pitstops, but JUST behind them. Pitted together with Ginsters and leapfrogged him by far thanks to not changing tyres. Jayblue also changed tyres so I was up to 2nd, but he was FLYING in the fresh rubber and he caught me at 2 secs per lap. Also probably due to a hit I suffered coming out of the long left hander, which damaged my aero a bit. Berger was still in the lead BTW cause he didn't change tyres.

As soon as Jayblue caught me, he went up the inside of T1 to take the position, couldn't defend too much with my old tyres. Tried to keep it on the black stuff and finished in a good 3rd, but hoping to challenge those two fast guys at the front for the next race Tongue

Grats all and thanks Smiley

That was a great fun race. I did my best in quali and got second, as good as i could expect as i knew Berger was faster on a single lap than me here anyway. At the start there was a bit of lag just when Berger released his limiter at the line and i hesitated, allowing SBG to get very close to me at the first turn. Luckily i had practiced the rolling start and knew exactly how late i could brake and kept the position. After that Berger gradually eased away and initially i was able to pull away from SBG and Busi - after a few laps they started to catch me and i began struggling with oversteer.

SBG was very close right up until he and Busi stopped, the gap was mostly around 0.4 with Busi right behind too, waiting to capitalize on any little mistakes. It was a really enjoyable first stint and great to race with mature guys who i knew wouldn't just "send one" up the inside when it wasn't really on  Cool

After Busi and SBG stopped i knew i needed to push on, my stop was two laps later and from the gaps i realized Busi hadn't changed tyres and SBG had. This was the point were i lost the race as i had two very scruffy laps, i nearly span out twice and lost several seconds as i pushed too hard and got the rear tyres too hot. Berger eased away some more to have a six second lead when i stopped. I exited the pits into a lot of traffic and some 22 secs down on Busi, SBG had just left the game for some reason so i never got see how that one would play out. Shame was it would have been a real thriller with both of us chasing down Berger and Busi whilst battling each other.

Another few scruffy laps in traffic initially stunted my progress before i found some rhythm and pace and really started closing the lead two down. I caught Busi and made my move into turn one straight away. I think we may have touched at the apex, but we were side to side and i couldn't see Busi's car. Sorry if we did bang doors Busi. After that i chased Berger as fast as i could but the gap was just too big and he won by four seconds.

Brilliant season opener and looing forward to the rest of the season!

Another brilliant race with API - we were close all 60 minutes. sweatdrop First stint he was behind and couldn't pass and then sneaked past me through the pit. Hit with a wet fish Then I was behind and couldn't pass. He managed to best me this time but I'm sure we'll be all over eachother in the next race. thumbup2

Aliens in front were too fast this time. Could stay close to Busi for a few laps but the gap went gradualy bigger, just a few tenths each lap. Well... Undecided
Too bad sbg doesn't want to race this way. Will you at least join us for GTC sprints? They're dry race and no strategy. Would like Goldtop to stay with us also.

Thumbs up for Beckam to stay with us all the race, even if he was a bit slower. Am at your disposal for any advice and/or setup, training session, etc. Even if some would say you could get a faster help. Wink

Grats to pody and well done for MJ. Can see this track suits you, buddy. Cool

emm...would have suited me a lot more to not be so hungover  Embarrassed combined with having to use Hard slicks for the heat, cost me 1.5-2 secs a lap off my praccy/race pace so could have ended up with a top 6 chance barring any incidents. Good fun nonetheless with Matt keeping me honest chasing my butt for last 20mins of the race.

Ended up being a decent race, my pace was too slow compared to Lazlow and Picnic but had Mcfids and Goldtop round which was shaping up for a good race. Sadly it seemed it ended early. Was gaining on Mcfids, tried looking into the last corner but i think Mcfids caught the curbs as he shot off and i never felt a thing though felt guilty for most of the lap. But then saw Mcfids try and rejoin on the outside of the last turn but he hit GT and with the force that he rebounded into the barriers looked like a bit of warping was going on. GT carried on as nothing happened and i had seen some slight warping going on which was going to make things difficult when getting close.

After that was just trying to watch the gaps behind till the stop. Dont know why but the car didnt really feel too bad, i guess i'm used to having the tire wear widly out though. Managed to get the hards wearing pretty evenly. So took a flyer and decided not to change them at the stop. Got confused with the stop and tried restarting the engine while refulling, which delayed me a bit. Came out with Lazlow a few secs behind somehow but he came straight past on his new tyres while i struggled at 3secs off my best times.

Lucked into a few positions as others seemed to have dodgy connections.

Hope you guys carry on, it will get lonely down this end of the grid!

I had a very enjoyable race after a long time away from the wheel. It was good to see drivers posting my sort of times pre-race, e.g. 1m.54s, especially as I initially saw times of 1m.50s  Shocked

Qualified in a good for me 12th and had an excellent first 15min tussle with spanner and GT where, in all fairness, I was holding you up, but it was still good fun trying to keep in front Smiley. Spanner got past on the last turn after I overcooked the entry but I glanced GT as I rejoined and pranged the barriers. It did, however, put me behind MJ who gave me a good target to chase although I couldn't get past his fellow C6R until the pitstop.

In the end, I managed a pretty good 8th although I have to thank the god of disconnections and other hardware failures for my lofty position. Congrats to podiums - looking forward to the next race.
