Everyone is welcome but, depending how many turn up, we are looking at approx 16 for UKGPL and 10 for GPLR Racer.
If we do get that many we will run two grids of 8 and 5 respectively.
I should mention there are some issues re server T7 right now which we are hoping will be fixed by tomorrow. If not we may be down to one server so would have to do it on the first nine in chat from both sides. Hopefully this won't be the case.

Er, just noticed the note about the pit wall. It may seem odd, but none of my GPL installations- and there have been a few- have ever had a pit wall at Kyalami. Is it just me?

Currently my version of Kyalami has no pit wall either, although in the past I have had that detail installed.

There is no problem running without the wall in place, just make sure that you DO NOT drive on the section of the pit straight where the pit wall would be. This is probably only necessary at the start, because for the rest of the race you should be well away from that area anyway as cars tend to be line astern over the crest waiting for the slip stream down the hill and the demon braking move into T1.

You will only be penalised if you "appear" to pass through the solid armco of the pit wall.

I have updated the server details in the race announcement. As Evil says best to have the pit wall in place BUT you will only be disqualified if you appear to mysteriously cross through it.
The race password will be announced in GPLR Racer and UKGPL chat prior to the event.
It appears we may be oversubscribed so the fairest way, if we need to split the grid, would be first drivers in chat go grid one. Sorry if this doesn't suit some - the main issue here was keeping the admin for this event down to a minimum after the last experience. Either way we should get a good mix of driver abilities.

For those new to an event such as this the main thing to remember is 'team' - finishing gains extra points. If we run two grids the results will be combined. At the last event (21/7/09) we were beaten 276 to 215 so time to even things up  Wink

PS: BIG reminder - 8.30pm start
