Resets: Two fast tows permitted Start: Standing start Flags: local only Password: see abovePlease make sure you are fully aware of the UKiR Rules - particularly the rules about general conduct and in-game chat messages. NOTE: All sessions protected by the main password, there is no seperate 'pre-event practice' A couple of notes re. Blue Flags during qualifying and race where they differ from GTR2; Blue Flags during qualifying - if you see a blue flag during qualifying it will be on your outlap and the driver approaching is on a hotlap. Please take this into account and act accordingly. The driver behind does not know you are on an outlap so no rash moves out of the way please Usual SRouk rules / guidelines should be applied. Blue Flags during the race - if you see a blue flag during the race it means the driver approaching is about to lap you. Please take this into account and act accordingly. It differs from GTR2 in that you will not be penalised for not allowing the lapping driver to pass within a certain period. The flag is informational only. Usual SRouk rules / guidelines should be applied.

Glad to hear it Mike, I thought I'd ease us into the Lotus gently . I think we stand to lose a few stone in body weight doing 80 mins around here - should separate the men from the Oldies muhaha! Expecting a few more incidents are we?
Of course I'm just thinking of all of you - I won't put a wheel wrong as usual You can have up to 10 resets Mark - will you be in attendance?

How is Lotus compared to Mazda - any good? Better? Worse? Worth buying?

To finish first, first you must have fins.

How is Lotus compared to Mazda - any good? Better? Worse? Worth buying? It's a strange car. Not a lot of steering at low speeds, very strong acceleration, but the high speed downforce and grip is just incredible. It takes a bit to get your mind round what it can do. T1 at Silverstone is flat in the '79, you just have to believe it and trust it will stick. The default setup is not that good though. I'm glad I bought the 79 even if I don't race it very often.

1:49.9 after getting my head around T1, which is near enough flat That's on race fuel BTW and there's more time left in there just by driving more laps.

How many laps are we looking at here? Going on 1:49 laps, I make it 44/45 laps, which would (I think) mean 23 gallons of fuel for the race.

Took Mike's setup and couldn't drive it. Almost 100% reversed the differentials, added one click of front wing and one click of differential preload and now it's driveable. Hate the car still though as it still feels just plain wierd to me. Itty-bitty front wheels and huge rear wheels just makes this car one of the worst handling cars ever made. It relies totally on downforce and that only works on the fast corners. Hated the car in rFactor, still hate it here. Get the drift yet? The engine sound is awesome though. 1:49.3 with my modifications to Mike's setup. Not sure I can stand that car for 10 minutes more let alone 80 so might pass this week too.
