Problems connecting to the Lobby?  Download this:

Practice 1: 19:20 (60 mins)
Race: 20:30 (18 laps ~40 Minutes)

There will not be a qualifying session for this race. Starting order is determined reversing the average finish position found in this spreadsheet.
Please do not go out on track during the qualifying session. Your grid order will be set by the administrator manually.
New drivers to the series will start at the rear of the field sorted alphabetical descending (keeping the reverse theme here).

Cars allowed: White Corvette Z06 vs. Ferrari 275 GTB/C (not special)
Track: 1979 Watkins Glen (no inner loop) (GPC version) (download)
Time of Day Setting: 12:00
Weather: Dry
Start: Standing

Tyre wear: 1X
Fuel consumption: 1X
Pit-stops: none required

Server: UKPnG
Password: see above

Championship standings

Notes:
(1) You must connect prior to the practice session ending. Any driver joining after the administrator starts to set the grid positions in the quali session must start at the rear of the field.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules especially the rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Power and Glory 2.0 from here, 2.1 patch from here and enable terrain patch.
(4) P&G has no 'Pit Speed Limiter' function. You may go as fast as you like in the pits, but please exercise caution. Penalties will be handed out for causing contact in the pit lane. Use your best judgement when driving though the pit lane.

Mike, are you aware of the "difficulties" we had with the T2/3 chicane when we ran this track 10 months back?

I'm probably mistaken but wasn't there also a small patch of track on the last turn (just before the pit entry) that had a "hole" in it, eg if you hit this part of track it span you?

Ah yes, I remember now:
Yeah, I kind of found the whole pit lane entry just dead slippy. Lead to a couple of nice drifts with the car I can tell you  Cool Grin

ps, by pit entry I kind of meant the inside of the final turn, safety could be found with a slower wider line

I'm not familiar with any of the problems mentioned. I've done numerous races and countless laps of testing here. It is one of my favorite test tracks. I'll intentionally poke my car around in unfamiliar places in the areas of concern to see if I can generate some odd behavior. If the problems persist, we can potentially use another version of the track. I'll have to track that version down.

Hi guys!

I'm now in the server, and seems that the fuel consumption is setted x2, and I don't know if even the tyre wear is set on x2.
Can you check it please? Thanks in advance Smiley

Apologies Manteos. Tyre wear was on normal but fuel was still set at x2 from the Mid Ohio race. Both are now at normal.

Just been on the server and it seems like a good track that is totally ruined by that stooooopid chicane!  Roll Eyes

It isn't the Watkins Glen that I know and love from GLP but it will do.

What I can't quite come to terms with is the fact that I was doing what I thought were quite tidy laps, with the best being a 2:14.600.

A good ten seconds off the pace. Angry

Perhaps someone would like to post one of these 2:04 laps that are listed on the race header so that I can see where the short cut is.

just ran my first laps here. 2:13.8 so far for me. Nice track this with great flow but certain corners always ready to suck you in too fast then you get bitten hard with hardly any run off areas. I will be in a bella macchina rosso  Cool

I hate that chicane too!!! Til now I've seen only a 2.10.8 by Lele, and it's seems enough to me... I'm stucked at 2.13.1 at the moment with race fuel... that means more than 2 seconds off the pace...

Let's see what happens during the race...

It's surely impossible to repeat an L88 time with the Z06, so I can confirm you're only 3.8 seconds off the pace Clive til now... but I'm sure you will go down sensibly Wink Good time for Mark with the 275 GTB/C... I'll give a try to the "Rossa" Smiley
