Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules especially the rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Power and Glory v2 from here, 2.1 patch from here and enable terrain patch.
(4) Drivers are reminded that they must select ISDN as their bandwidth, otherwise the stability of every-one's connection will be reduced.
(5) P&G has no 'Pit Speed Limiter' function. You may go as fast as you like in the pits, but please exercise caution. Penalties will be handed out for causing contact in the pit lane. Use your best judgement when making your pitstop during the race.

Guys... I want to run a couple of tests with the GT cars before the next season.

Bathurst has a nice mix of high speed straights and very challenging mountain road type twisty bits. Remember that pit strategy (only take tires if absolutely necessary) is key to a good finish.

Goldtop hasn't been racing much in P&G so I'll be looking for a server starter assistant. I will not always be available to race as work and the US time zone have been challenging as of late. Is anyone willing to help out by restarting the dedicated GTR2 server at the practice time on race day? If you are willing to help, but don't know how to start the server, I'd be more than happy to teach you. It is very easy and takes just a few minutes to do.

Suggest that you start advertising now under it's own topic. It can get missed in amongst the other information  Wink

Many thanks to phspok for stepping up and helping me with the server duties. He will be starting the server for the P&G races going forward. I will be managing the results and other admin duties.

Hi Guys,

I am hoping to join you guys on this one if this is ok? Clive Loynes let me know about the race.

EDIT: Please my earlier coments below on the Falcons. I have just noticed the Mann car has a rear anti-roll bar unlike the Westlake. I shall get my coat.

"However, aren't the Falcons in the opposite groups to what they should be? I not sure about the handling but the Westlake has an extra 15 brake and is slightly lighter than the Mann? I was thinking of using the Falcon so will have a play with the Mann version for now. I am using the yellow group cars as I am a new boy."

I shall use the Westlake. Catch you all tomorrow.

Cheers,

Mark

Note that when I tried to set up a race using time it failed to calculate it correctly and set the race to 14 laps for a 1 hour (not much more than half an hour in reality).

Looks like it is best to set it up using laps. You probably know that already but just incase.

Welcome Matt. Great to have you with us.

The Falcon Mann is a much better handling car than the Weslake due to the rear bar. It is also a little better on fuel which is a factor in these events. Being this is your first race with us, you are required to choose a car from the Yellow group. This way we can guage your performance with 1 event. Your finish position will land you into a group that matches your performance for the next race.

Thanks for the heads up on the timed race ending early. The timed events often do not record the lap counts correctly. I'll be updating the fixed lap count to approximate a 60 minute race later tonight.

I notice that it says this on the nogrip download page as well......

Because of small pit area pits spots are limited to avoid not getting a pit
spot make sure you REQUEST a pit stop and DO NOT enter pits until your
pitchief says its ok

Hi Mike, thanks, I suspected as much after I noticed the rear bar on the setup.

It is a good way of organising things and I may try and introduce something similar for the MARA-E league.

No worries, catch you tomorrow.

Guess you just don't know but it could be well worth making the request.

Not done any practice yet so I'm hoping to slap the long legs on the z06 from Watkins Glen and give it a go tonight.

In GTR2 when the mechanichs says something like: "Repeat, I can't hear you", you can notice that the PIT blue light on the bottom left of the screen will not switch on... so you won't find anyone that is waiting for you in the pit lane...
In P&G it's the same, but without the mechanics at the radio... If the PIT blue light is switched on, in 99% you will find your pitcrew ready... If the PIT light remains swithched off after your first call, retry to push the button until it turns in blue!
That's what I do usually, and til now it worked even with P&G.
