You cannot see a thing in the straights under the shadows! Shocked

Great track though, looking forward to the race Smiley

What are you other guys using so far? (all in the interests of close racing you understand  Wink )

2 - 4 but, I may need more wing as I keep loosing it on a couple of corners.

I love the track. I prefer the modern version in terms of layout but, this version looks allot better. The modern version of Le Mans is definitely one of my top 3 of all time. Smiley

Finally some fellow racer words of wisdom !  thumbup1

I do wonder if we might have been better off with the chicaned mulsanne just to force the cars from running top redline screaming revs. Im not even sure how they are able to do that...wheres the rev limiter gone? Is it missing because DG removed the reliability factor from the srouk car set? Really we should be seeing detonated engines unless rev range turned down as they would for real...that or longer gearing than is available  Wink

.................. IMHO this track brings more atmosphere in PnG.

And the cars can be geared for the straight.   Grin

I thought that this sounded interesting until I read all your comments about the engines.

The Lambo seems ok, top speed 191mph and revs left over for drafting with no ott health loss. I'm at around 3:37 with race fuel and wing at 2-5.

Must admit I like all LM versions  Smiley

crikey...drafting, thats a good point. If the engines already screaming its nuts off at top of rev range whats gonna happen if you pick up a tow? Im not sure of the answer to this rev range phenomena here at the Mulsanne straight, should we be running much lower rev limit? but dont see how that will help, it will just reduce available power without reducing the red line peak out.  Undecided
I best try some drafting moves on AI cars and see what happens  Lips Sealed

I've not had time to do any practise and with it being lemans you cant just get in some practise, you need to dedicate hours! so not sure about doing this. Plus i dont really agree with this combo either, If your going to run it, run the 'proper' config of it. I dont care how nice it is, running modern cars on a track 30 years old...hmm. Though our modern version is definately showing its age.

Its actually going to be good fun I think. It does work with these cars. Just get your wing as low as you dare go, 2 - 6 would be a good start and then set 6th gear to match the revs where you want them on the straight.

Limit the revs a bit in setup and remember to allow for slipstreaming. Smiley

Grumpy sod, just get some laps in, the cars feel fantastic here and you certainly dont feel that your on an old track, its modern enough for GT1 !
It also doesnt feel such a long lap in these fast beasties. Aston martin at Le Mans...what more do you need ?!  Cool

IIRC the last time we raced here we held position until the exit of Tertre Rouge. Might be a good compromise?

I'd say standing as well to avoid the potential 5minute formation lap ! but then you also have to realise we would all be on very cold tyres ! Or we could hold formation around to tetre (start of mulsanne) as GT suggests, then gun it !

I think i may have to switch GT cars for this event and i dont want a penalty for doing so as its not through choice and now its very last minute! The Vettes are obviously badly geared wrong and its impossible to run the Mulsanne and follow on straight without being maxed out in the red line zone. I was 11mph slower down the straights than two other GT cars online this afternoon and AI cars offline, leaving me for dead on the mulsanne and costing 1-2secs in laptime. No matter how low i go with the wings the car (just tried a 1-4) will not do more than 185 with race fuel. So if alright with the powers that be i will take a car swap.  I tried the stock C5 also to see if it was okay but suffers same gearing problem.
