It looked like the racing was fast and furious at the front end.

Unfortunately I'm so slow even the AI were pointing at me and laughing

Ho hum, always next week

Can't believe I'm disappointed with 3rd & 2nd  UndecidedShocked

It's because I had the fastest lap in both races (discounting Aliens Wink) & just felt like I drove out my skin. There's just something about these cars that feels fantastic & holdable right on the edge, while still keeping it really close with the other drivers! Cool

I just needed a bit more time to catch GT in the 1st race (about 10 laps would have done it laugh) & I should never have crumbled to let Ginsters past with 2 laps to go in the 2nd :'( :'( :'(.

Great driving Ian punk

Had some brilliant exchanges with multiple drivers, API probably the most, lost count of how many corners we did side by side! But also Matt, Pete, nsfast & a certain AI 'G.Kelly' all had their fun moments too.

Nice one all.

p.s. pleased to claw a few points back on nsfast tonight & good Oldie team score too, nice one Tinman.

Good fun tonight at the Combe. Had a nice start in Race1 and avoided what appeared to be a bit of bother going into the dreaded Quarry. Held on to Ian for a couple of laps as I was able to draft, but he soon managed to pull a big gap. Left me with a bit of a lonely drive to the line.

Race2 was much better while it lasted, but unfortunately I got a tad too close to TinMan approaching Tower which put me in the barrier. Sorry for the tap TM. Saw a few cars heading for me so hit esc to get out of the way. Watched the rest of the race from the pits, which looked great fun, but must have discoed at the end as I missed the after race chat, so...

Congrats to podies and thanks to all who turned out.

And don't forget to have your say in our poll for season R4....

It looked like the racing was fast and furious at the front end.

Indeed, R2 was a cracker Smiley

Had a great start and soon got with Matt our leader but it all went pair shaped there for a mo. Ballsed up the final turn and it seemed everyone took advantage by Quarry the next time round. Got it together after that "moment", then had some ace fights with Tinman, Api, Nsfast (at least twice Smiley), don't think I saw Matt but finally Legzy stood in the way. Was shaping him up nicely only to balls up that ruddy final turn again. I caught him again with two to go and didn't honestly think I had enough time. His slip gave me the win that I probably didn't deserve but great racing with him and the rest of you Smiley

Like last week, I think a few gents were caught out by my early braking but thanks for skillfully avoided me. As a great man, and many a muppet, once said "slow in fast out" Wink Thats seems especially true of the Cats.

Shame not to see Steve, Cossie and a few other regulars as, with them, we could have had a really good grid. As it was, nice few tonight and great fun. Ta.

I haven't read any comments, good or bad, about the AI involvement in this race. I thought that their strength setting was quite good and I certainly enjoyed driving against them in Race 2. Good to see them make mistakes, I saw two of them collide and crash, and this kept me on my toes when dicing with them.

Any views?

Sorry had to miss it, as much as I didn't like the representation of the track I'd have still driven it, but sadly had to go for a family funeral.  Hope to get to the next one.

I thought the AI were a good addition to this event. After a bad start to Race 1, I had some good action with them pushing for that important P8.  Smiley

Thanks for the feedback gents. I had feared they were going to be a little too quick when I tested them earlier in the evening. Trying to get them at mid pack pace is my aim, but it can be tricky with such a close field. The AI values appear to vary considerably from track to track which doesn't help matters.

Let me know what you think of them at rainy Rockingham if you get the chance.
