Just got caught out by people slower in the corners, braking earlier but yet would leave me on the straights Huh Dont get that. Why run with low wing on a track with this many corners?

Tried going up the inside of the semi-fast right hander before that fast chicane of GT as he kept going wide through there but got caught out by the curb and grass and speared into the barriers ending in a ball of flames!

Bah computer freeze! It had been a very long time since the last one I suffered. Had used a driver cleaner so it looks like it worked well. Gonna do it again right now.

Was having fun. Started 3rd, passed API thanks to the top speed differential, although it was nearly impossible to keep up with the Ferrari in the corners. Ginsters was faster in front of me, so he slowed down after the halfway point and let me through to push me from behind. Thanks for making this fun race, funnier sbg Grin I just hope my frozen car didn't affect you, as you were right behind me Undecided

It did scare the bejeebus outta me Smiley Tough break as that was shaping up to be great fun. Any passing on that track is as tricky as hell but it would have been great to have carried on dicing. We'll do that again Smiley

No problem with the track, which does seem far better quality than the add on norm to me. Be fun to race on with the ickle cars, GT1 would be hard work and it must be shockingly hard work in F1.

tough tough race, just couldnt get any more pace out the 997, which seemed to be outgunned here by the Fezzas and strangely even by the Panoz !? Shocked

I had to have stiff suspension to cope with the constant direction changes but needed 10wing to stop it oversteering!...hard 'kin work even for 40mins ! Never felt like a good balance all eve, perhaps i needed the car even stiffer  Undecided It never wanted to turn in tight enough either.

Amazing pace up front again, couldnt keep with the pack even from the starting lap. Enjoyed a good chase with H@L and Nsfast for first 14 laps with a constant gap between the 3 of us. But on lap 15 i got speared off the road when a rear wheel got on the kerb on that tricky blind left crest turn and i lost my place to H@Ls panoz. Finished an un-excitable 8th.

That might be me and my carpy driving Embarrassed I'm always slow in and even with wing at 2-8 it was a struggle for me in some of the corners. By the time you caught me, my soft left front was on 28 wear which didn't help matters.

Had a nice battle with Apextech, seemed like we were quite evenly paced but I didn't quite have enough to get close up to him.

Note to self: remember to put enough fuel in Roll Eyes

Congrats to Ian for the win, the pody and all.

Well once again I proved am totally incompetent at doing a setup. Ended up taking hards but even those were overheating on the left Sad I also have no idea how to get the tyre pressures sorted so the middle isn't several degrees cooler than the outsides. I kept upping the pressures but that didn't help. Was giving up anyway but then found a hole in the scenery..... game over.

Limited setup time, gave it 8 rear wing and was a nice balance so went with that. Sorry my inappropriate setup
meant I kept thumping your nose with my rear and spinning Spanner  whistling I think the Porch turns in later
and faster than the M3 whatever setup I had use. Had been racing Apex and Goldtop, but afterwards was tail
end charley getting in Spanner's way for a while after he fell off, until I went wide once too often and he was away
Tried to keep up with Goldtop but kept making mistakes on worn tryes.
I probably should have taken the 430, but I like the M3, and sometime it works.

Looks like a few people twigged this track must have been designed with the F430 in mind laugh

Well I had a really great enjoyable race again, that's been a few in a row Smiley
Shocked myself with a qually time that was right out of the blue early on & so was able to go back to looking at my race setup.
Clung onto the fastest boys for quite a while, but not able to challenge them. Then swapped places a couple of times with Lazlow as we both made big errors Roll Eyes & then had a great chase with TT for the 2nd half of the race.

Congrats to SBG & the other podiums (I'll assume our API was up there Wink)

Roll on the season proper again now, see you all at the A1 ring next week Cool

GT2 is the real stuff for me. Enjoyed the race like nothing before. Smiley Grats to sbg for the pace, bad luck for X. Had a chase with API in the first half and with Legzy in the 2nd. S14 has GT2s, right? Wink

I originally jumped in the 996 RSR but I would say something is badly wrong with either it or the track/car combo. I had my hands full keeping it on track as there was little/no grip. On the odd occasion it went around the whole track without me making a mistake, it was just as fast if not slightly faster than the Fezza but I couldn't get pass the fact it just didn't feel right.

I didn't try the 997 version as, for me, its nowhere near as good to drive as vanilla porkas (on other tracks anyways    Wink)

I mention it cause I like the GT2 class as well, especially over the GTC, and would like to see a return Smiley

I was happy this morning to see I was the only car to get in amongst the Ferrari domination last night Cool which made the race only a tiny bit better for me.
A lack of practice and setup made for an average driving experience in the Gallardo....don't think I'll be using it again, unless I spend some time setting it up. Nice track though. (always end on a positive Grin)
