This is quite a cool track with some great elevation changes. Not raced here since Geoff Crammond days! 1:34.4 so far in race trim. Sure i can improve on that with more laps, anyone else got any laptimes to aim for as its new here? Tricky braking zones with the uphill 90degree bends, i found i kept braking too early but then if i left it late it screwed the corner entry. Should be fun track to race on, hope there is a decent turn out.

I don't think I've ever seen such a quiet race thread by the day of a race (except for GTL )... is anyone planning on doing this one?

Just a note to add that it's the UKGTR2 version we're running tonight... I think the only change was getting the race clock to run properly...

Z4 should be really good through the corners, Spanner. I think your front is too stiff or your wing is too high.

1:35.4 with race fuel so far in the Z4, might trim that a bit yet.

I would like to join this one! I hope I'll be in time for the race start, and making some training laps.
Cu later!

what a shocker i had here tonight Either i was doing something very wrong or the F430GTC is just completely outgunned at a low downforce track like this I thought i had a good setup and was pleased with 1:34 race pace in my solo practise but then you lot turned up doing 32's and 33's I had to ditch my setup and go low wing Monza style as i was being left for dead down the straights in qually, so opted for 1-3 wings but i was still left standing by all. Qualied a crappy 13th out of 14 even with a 1:33 time Made me think Race was going to be hard work but then on first flying lap spanner lost it right in front of me and i had no chance of avoiding him mid apex, also getting a solid whack up the backside in the process by the following car That really put me on the backfoot with already 20secs lost to the pack. I chased around on my own for 20minutes but was over-driving and 30secs behind the last car and 50!! secs behind Peter leading the race. Sorry to say i pulled in the pits and gave up as no way i could be bothered to drive around on my own for 20 more mins in a cack handling car. totally flummoxed as to why i couldnt get near anyone on pace. I was slower on the straights and couldnt even live with other cars in the fast corners. Rubbish !

What a corka! Like MJ I was struggling to comprehend the times the leaders the top half of the field were managing But then shocked myself & found about 1sec extra that just wasn't there before & suddenly I was mid pack! Was busy all through the race, only had a handful of laps where I was on my own, but even then I had people to aim at ahead or stay away from behind & I think it's a good/testing track. Congrats to API, Lazlow & Picnic... nice race long battle. But the same could be said right down the field I think See you all at Zandvoort next week. Chris p.s. MJ, it was a high speed circuit & having driven that Fezza many times, it would likely struggle here. It will be back in the mix next time at Oulton (if you pull your finger out ).

I think this must have been a Viper track API was very patient waiting for me to make a mistake to let him passed after I used the Viper's grunt to take the lead on lap 1 (I think it was). I was soon struggling with the tyres but the grunt was enough to make API's job of passing difficult. Lazlow drove an awesome race after spinning out on the green flag lap when I believe he selected the pit limiter! Both of them had to take avoiding action in T2 where I was particularly slow and often very sideways, so hats off for their driving skills. Did my usual trick of installing the track at 8pm so was surprised to be competitive, I'd hate to see how fast someone with some talent could pedel the CC around here!

Great race tonight, with someone to attack or defend from all race. Cracking races with Legzy and nsfast . Managed to get round with no major errors this evening, while those around me fell off and gifted me places especially late on in the race. Probably my best finish so far in GTR2. Ran with 2-6 wing which seemed a good compromise for me. Didn't feel too hairy in the corners and I think my slow in/early on the power really helped with those long straights as I was able to pull away from nsfast's Z4. Congrats to pody.
