Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 1467s

Matt and Lazlow have been fighting for position for a good few laps. Lazlow comes out of a slow corner with good momentum for the downhill sweep. As the road bends slightly to the right, Lazlow is ready to make his move on the left of Matt. Matt himself stays left as they take the corner and Lazlow is held up and does well to keep control of his car.
This incident is as much about the handling of the two cars as anything else. The Z4 is excellent in the corners but lacks grunt. Both drivers have advantages in different parts of the track and the fastest laps of both are nearly identical.
I can understand that Lazlow felt blocked but Matt was not weaving to defend and was consistent in this line on many laps. As positions sorted themselves soon after, I am prepared to rule this as a racing incident under determined racing.

Made a quick setup a few days back and thought I was gonna make some laps on Saturday. Was busy and then on Sunday as well. Then on Sunday afternoon there was no net, some kind of ISP service crash, the note was it was not likely to be fixed before Monday. But it was, just before the race, but I didn't practice any. Roll Eyes Qualified with the intended race setup and felt reasonably ok. Then in the race I was driving closer to the limit and kept falling off until I slowed down. And it shows. Cheesy

Wasnnt particularly enjoying this as i had thought it would be, you had to really overdrive it through the corners and straightline them as much as possible with the tyres suffering a bit. However come qually i bolted softs on the front and ran low fuel for the first time and surprised myself to get in the 51's so parked it as i felt i was too far up the grid for my pace!

However i was tweaking the car all the way up to the race if it helped or not not sure but as usual wit hthe pressure of actually racing people my pace improved quite a bit. It takes a while to get brake and tyre temps up so got mugged by MJ on the second corner and then just set about trying to push with quite a group behind early on. Managed to pull a gap on those behind sadly MJ fell off later on but H@L and nsfast were dicing a bit and clearly slowing each other up and for a few laps thought i could get nsfast but with Greg coming up behind i lost focus a bit. Being a bit hesitant it took a while for him to get past as alot of the corners are still quick and there arnt too many passing places but after that was just trying to watch the gap behind and get to the end.

But i'm not entirely sure what happend but braking into second corner i must have locked up a bit or just got on the grass as it speared into the barrier on right and killed the engine. Didnt think i was going that fast to do all that damamge. Had a nice bonfire going there for a few moments.

Looks like i've now got Legzy on my tail in the points and at snetterton for the final round Roll Eyes

Damage limitation again last night...was going to run Soft/Mediums in the race, but seeing the times API & Goldtop were doing in the 997 there was no way I could match them so I decided to play it safe and run Mediums/Mediums.
The pace of Ferrari 360 down the straights made it possible for me to make some overtaking moves...and after the 3rd attempt of trying I managed to get past Matt down the long downhill straight promoting me to a 3rd place finish.

Snetterton in 2 weeks....hopefully I'll be able to stay a little closer to API to give him someone to race with Grin
