Meh, another awful race. Messed up the really slow 3rd corner even if it looks alot quicker on the first lap and spun and sadly collected Mark, sorry about that. That corner has been the bain of my life. Though hadnt really done that before, guess just pressure of the race. But then found out the gravel is very sticky so i ended up 14 secs away from MJ at the end of the field. Tempted to give up but just tried to carry on. Caught up to MJ who seemed to have fallen off a few times, then caught upto Geforce_GS at the 2nd to last corner but he spun on the exit. I slammed on the brakes, spun and hit the barrier picking up a puncture. Then gave up.

Anoying as Mid Ohio was such a good race. WAs running 2-4, never run 1 on the front as it too understeery. You seemed to be staying off the curbs MJ, thats were you coould have gained. You Teamie told me on TS...

Forgot to mention how incredibly clsoe the qually grid was! Shocked
Everyone that did a qually lap was within 1.6secs of pole & the top seven were within 0.7 Cool

Enjoyed that one as I had someone to play with for most of the time.
Was surprisingly competitive, followed TT for a while watching him apparently struggle
out of corners sometimes. HAL and Manteos fell off after lots of dicing, found myself
in an unfamiliar 4th for a while, and was almost fast enough to hold it.
Lazlow caught up after his off, and passed with a lunge up the inside at the 2nd right
later on my rears were overheating and wearing more than expected, and I was having
some real trouble stopping in a straight line, lost it a couple of times, once side swiped
HAL as he fell off in tandem, sorry for that. Tyres got worse and my offs were getting
bigger, lost it out of T1 into a wall, bent the front steering badly, kept shooting off the
road in the following straight, so with only 5 top go, parked it.

dang, i didnt know the F430GTC was so slow on fast tracks. I wondered why i was the only one driving one!

Seems your times and speed on the straights fooled me into thinking you lot were running very low (monza style) wings and i ditched my 2-6 setup for a 1-3. I went 1second quicker with that config in qually hence making me think thats what i needed to do in the race. But itdidnt help, all it did was make the car crud in the corners and kerbs..i should have kept the 2-6 and at least done 1:34 laptimes  Roll Eyes

One to forget in a hurry! I dont mind being 2 secs off an alien time but when the whole field is doing it then something isnt right!  Lips Sealed

No probs on the contact Spanner, it was just unfortunate.

Been a bit slack in posting my report. Roll Eyes

I had a fantastic battle with Manteos from the start. I could not get passed. He was faster down the straights and better on braking in most corners. I was trying everything to get passed. I eventually made a mistake that screwed both of our races. It was going so well until then as well. Undecided

Sorry Manteos. We were so close, check out the qauly times, race time and fastest lap times. Grin

I had fun fighting back after my mistake and had some nice duels with TT, Matt and Apextechusa.

No worries mate. Smiley I would not have been able to pass any other way. The Viper was really fast on the straights, you were driving well until the mistake and my wing was set high for the track.

Heh, I'm not that proud of my performanse there. Undecided Going backwards and mistakes and trouble with the car setup. Sounds like my rookie days in GTR 1. Tongue Made a capital mistake and changed the rears from meds to softs just before the race, not tried it and did it on a basis of evaluation. no Would be positioned much better if I left it as it was. Hit with a wet fish
