Flags: Includes full course yellows

Pit-stops You must make a minimum of two pit stops during which you must take on at least 1 litre of fuel and/or change at least two tyres. You cannot take a mandatory stop at the end of the pace lap (where applicable), or with less than 1 lap to go

Password: see above

Please make sure you are fully aware of the UKiR Rules - particularly the rules about general conduct and in-game chat messages.

NOTE: All sessions protected by the main password, there is no separate 'pre-event practice'

A couple of notes re. Blue Flags during qualifying and race where they differ from GTR2;

Blue Flags during qualifying - if you see a blue flag during qualifying it will be on your outlap and the driver approaching is on a hotlap. Please take this into account and act accordingly. The driver behind does not know you are on an outlap so no rash moves out of the way please  Usual SRouk rules / guidelines should be applied.

Blue Flags during the race -  if you see a blue flag during the race it means the driver approaching is about to lap you. Please take this into account and act accordingly. It differs from GTR2 in that you will not be penalised for not allowing the lapping driver to pass within a certain period. The flag is informational only. Usual SRouk rules / guidelines should be applied.

Mustangs Pete! We'll probably actually need them heheh!!

This is surprisingly a lovely combo - I'm not sure if there's been an update to the 'Stang but it's a really nice drive around here....once you select the right gear of course  Grin.

Brilliant stuff Mike - look forward to catching you there. I might even push the boat out and practice a pit stop for this one Smiley

Hello!  Smiley
Now I can finally join in due to a change in work patterns, if you'll have me!
Ive had a little look around and feel happy and rather at peace with the gentleman racer emphasis :]
I wont be able to make the one after this due to breaking the bank to head south for some heat, but hope to become a regular.
Ive just got done building a new wooden racing rig from scratch and am very excited to be able to settle in with it somewhere with some heart and soul. (Sorry no pics yet, but it looks rather like a Roman catapult with a leather carseat at one end.) Racing in championships against long lists of aliens I rarely even see in a race isnt quite doing it for me unfortunately.
Time to dust off that strange looking Mustang!

Racing Slippers (AKA Roger Owen)
Im 33, and languishing in Ipswich, Suffolk. I believe Im the only sim racer in Suffolk.

Oh, and I simply cannot wait for the MX5  Grin

Welcome Roger, sounds like you've got the right sort of ethos to fit right in here. I'm sure you won't be the only sim racer in Suffolk Wink

Hi Roger welcome

I love iR with every fibre of my being. Why not join us on Tuesdays too?

Couldn't have put it better myself Spanner...

Hi Roger - great to hear you'll be joining, and Don by the way! Can I ask how you found out about the event Roger?

We definitely don't take things too seriously and as you've probably gathered, being super fast isn't a pre-requisite, as long as your driving's clean you're more than welcome. If you find a sudden burst of pace and want more of a challenge, there are definitely still some fast guys who'll give you a run for your money but there's also no shortage of us bringing up the rear so to speak LOL.

Hope to see you on Friday!

P.s - I look forward to checking out the catapult pics! Smiley

hehe dont get me wrong, I love iRacing too, it can just feel a bit cold when you rarely see the same driver twice :]
But all the tracks and cars, the driving and thoughts of the MX5 and new tyre model stir me to the core. :-D

I would love to do Tuesdays, but I work late Mondays to Thursdays unfortunately. Anyone thats around driving from 11pm onwards till about 3am weeknights Im there :]

Everyone is most welcome to add me as a friend in there in iRacing; please do.

I dont quite recall how I found UKiR, I think I stumbled across it googling something else even tho its advertized clearly in the iR forums.

Ive just got to add a keyboard mount and a coffee cup holder and I'll take some pics :]
Handily it fits my HOTAS Cougar and simpeds with the chair rolled back but I just cant fly any more (DCS Blackshark and A10 beta) with 3 screen iRacing waiting!

Anyone here running the gyroscopic motion cockpit mod?
