That was flipping excellent !  Cool  I was gutted to get taken out so early in race 2 as wanted more of the same of race 1!  :'(

Im not even a fan of touring cars in the real world but have to say the cars looked and sounded amazing from the cockpit with 5 abreast heading into some corners in the early laps  Shocked and the racing was brilliantly intense and closely fought  Smiley It looked real running my FOV at 76%.
Didnt qually well in 12th? despite a 1:13.3 as the rest of you buggers had obviously done a load more praccy and crept into the 12's  Roll Eyes...or was it those fancy Chevs the quick guys seem to have picked up on already with a top 3 lockout?  Wink
Race start was excellent and made up a few places, then nipped by a few more down into craners...much to my delight after legz cocky comment on the grid Grin
Found myself chasing GT hard for a few laps in 6th/7th with TT ahead but then got wide out the exit up at Mcleans and dropped back into the pack for some more great battles with Legz etc.  But the tyres went off and the beemer got more and more oversteery in final laps and only just held on against two other 320i's to finish 11th?

Race 2 started great as well, making up some places, but on about lap 2 or 3 Spanner ahead got a huge tank slapper out of craners and flew out of control across the track collecting me and Nsfast at high speed, with me finishing nose deep into the tyre wall and aero and suspension damage and dead last. I carried on for a couple more laps but my steering wheel was at an impossible angle to continue.  Sad  Shame as was great fun.

Bring on the next evo/race Race  Cool ...ps when are we going to try some GT cars?! Surely these races are showing how great an improvement this is!

That was good fun...well race 2 anyway.  I outbraked myself in race 1 and went into the wall at the esses on lap 6, but cross with myself for that.

Started at the back in Race 2, which was a mix of chasing AI and some of the other drivers, nice to get some close racing.

Really need to learn a bit more about setups as I was running near enough the default settings.

Hope to make a few more races.

Another below-average night at Donni Roll Eyes. With Spa last week, now Donni, I'm guessing Oschersleben or Imola next week :'(

Pleased to out qually MJ, but apart from a rather good scrap with him mid-way through race 1... that was a bit average. Sad

I just don't like these cars that much, they're OK, but as soon as you try to have some fun & slide these front wheel cars about a little through the corners, you drop time like it's going out of fashion. I've tried both BMW's, but they're blatantly off the pace of the rest, to the point I'll be on my own at the back (don't tell MJ, so I can qually ahead of him next time too Wink).

p.s. Aren't I just full of Xmas cheer! laugh

Well I think these are the dogs danglies. Fell off avoiding someone's accident in race1, but had some fun trying to
catch up, Race 2 was even better, lucked in on the last lap with TT and Ade battling, with TT going off I snatched 4th
Race07 is soo much better than any of the others IMHO. P&G 3 sounds like more of the same buggy code but with an
emphasis on 70s cars. WIll be good, but would be really good if they could use this model. I hate steam though, it's too temporary

Sorry guys, it was me that got a bit loose on lap 2  Sad Spanner didn't have a chance of avoiding contact.

Two stunning races last night.....I think there was only 5 minutes throughout where I wasn't involved in close action. I watched the replays this morning which I don't normally do. It was like watching BTCC without the punting...amazing stuff all round.

Apologies to spanner for the start of Race 2  Embarrassed The ffb had turned my wheel to left lock and I hadn't realised until I hit the gas and shot left.

A great turnout for this time of year  Cool lets hope it keeps growing for 2011.

Sadly not completely true as I messed up Lazlow's and TT's 2nd races last night. Sorry chaps. Came away from the race feeling I didn't want to do another. I guess with close racing something bad is more likely to happen but I hate messing up others races. Sorry chaps.

Not sure the AI were too clever last night. Didn't really see how they drove in the races but in practice coming to an almost complete stop on the start finish line was not very clever and should have resulted in a trip to see the clerk of the course!

yeah i was fearful of the AI as saw them doing some bizarre things in pracy and qually, like slowing down to an almost stop over the s/f line or mid craners Shocked  but in the race they drove very well, fiercely competitive and quick from those that i encountered.

Surprised to hear you thought it put you off with the close racing Pete  Undecided thought that would be its main attraction  Huh You can drive right on someones jacksy or side by side in these tin cans i found, good fun. Smiley

The close racing does make it exciting, going 3 wide through the Craners certainly keeps you occupied. I was just on a downer after the race as being too close to Lazlow meant contact and effectively ending his race Sad

Lol Pete, these things have and will happen to me, to you and anybody. Smiley Saw you lost it downhill and had enough time to let you drift over the grass. I remember thinking you're gonna slide over the track just in time to let me get comfortably by. GTR2 thinking! Grin There your would have done exactly this while here you came to complete stop exactly on my path. Cheesy Nothing to do. Car was funny from then on, doing various stunt tricks in the middle of a corner. Was still 3rd (2nd if we disregard the AI) but sadly lost 2 places in the last lap. Sad Was an enjoyable event all the same. Smiley Hope it grows on you as well, Legz. Undecided

I was also on a bit of a downer after messing up MJ and Spanner's race 2. That coming after a near perfect race 1 for me.  Grin When the racing is so close I guess incidents do happen and its all part of the fun.

With six different winners in six races this has the makings of a great season.  Smiley
