Race 1 Qualifying: 20:10 (20 mins)
Race 1: 20:30 16 laps, then following shortly afterwards with reverse grid
Race 2: 16 laps

Track: Donington Park (National) Download this

Cars allowed: Any car from WTCC06 or WTCC07

Time of Day Setting: 14:00
Weather: DRY
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal

Server:  www.simracing.org.uk
b]Password[/b]: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) Driver lists can be found on the championship standings page

Special Notes: The grid procedure for Race 07 events is slightly different from GTL/GTR2. Upon joining the grid, you won't be able to rev your engine until all drivers are present on the grid. Do not attempt to esc back to garage or you will be DQ'd.

So it was either watch some rubbish on TV or do a few laps of Donni to test out my new wide-screen monitor

Happy New Monitor Legzy  Smiley

On the subject of which, I discovered a cool setting called Field of View in visual settings the other day. The in game default is 100% but reducing it to about 85% gave me a more realistic "sitting" position. Can also be done in GTL and GTR2 via the fov setting in one's plr. I always disable the wheel/arms from my cockpit view so with this setting and a 28" monitor things are now getting very immersive.

Low 33s so far in the trusty Leon and still some setup tweaks to do.....so that's bound to go up Cheesy

1:13.1 for me  Smiley after i spent half hour practising the GP layout instead  Roll Eyes which is better imo. The uphill chicane at end of the national just always causes carnage and DNF's.

Still think this sim is the dogs danglies  Smiley  ps good tip on the FOV Goldtop, makes a nice improvement in cockpit view.

Sorry you can't make this McF. No dropped races in this series unfortunately, but there are plenty of rounds remaining.

Thanks for offering to do that Legzy. There are a few (myself included) that would benefit from this. I'm not bothered either way but others might be, so I don't think we ought to change things now.

Definitely something for me to consider for future series though.
