Im in if I can unlock those cars

Hopefully I won't get in trouble for posting this?

Taken from RSC:

Quote
"This trick was recently posted at BH Motorsports, lets you do career mode without any racing, but you'll need to start each race, just not do any laps.

Edit your .PLR file, and change the line with

Vehical Removal = 30.0000

to

Vehical Removal = 0.01000

At the start of each race, the AI cars will just dissappear, effectively an instant DNF. Not even sure if you need to pass the start line before quitting and DNF'ing yourself, but I did anyway. You end up winning each cup.

There are also trainers to add money to the game, you need about 4 million to buy all the unlocked cars at the start."
unquote.

It worked for me, but I got fed with the unlock process after I had unlocked enough tracks and got enough money to buy the cars I like.

I would gladly join you, but I'm waiting for the patch to solve the numerous online problems I have before running GTL again.
Perhaps I could race with you guys after the patch. For now it's just impossible due to the continuously online CTD I experience with GTL.

Perhaps I should have a re-think on the circuit! Forgot you had to unlock it Sad But I really wanted to run a longer circuit as it's a longer race and I didn't want to get too dizzy Wink

Are people happy to use the 'cheat' to at least unlock Spa? Mini and Cortina allowed so no problems with car choice if you are limited.

Let me see how long it takes to do unlock, will start after i get 1fps bug at magny tonight (confidence is a biatch), just a bad feeling. I dont really wanna take a short cut, but will if it means not missing out on races.

Can understand the unlock but personally enjoying working through the game so much that I doubt I'll use it. I'm surprised how well structured it is and how much it teaches you about the strengths and weaknesses of different cars on different tracks actually.
I'm about to finish the 'B' races and have about 200k in money so can buy most cars with a bit of wheeling and dealing. People who've used the unlock cheat and therefore have the GT40 will be at a big advantage at Spa though which is a shame Undecided

I "unlocked" it last night.
In the end I just could'nt be arsed with the chore of 1000+ laps having to barge and cheat(what me.?...... never Wink) to 1st place against the COM which has a faster car (in the form of a Lotus Elan in the early cups)

I created a copy of my user folder and changed the name slightly and changed the name of PLR etc.. to the same slightly changed name.
So if you decide to do the cups "properly" you can.

Hmmmmmmmm Endurance at Spa with Cortinas and Minis  Grin,..So thats a 5 lap race then Wink

Just to help those (ME) who are unsure on which cars are allowed:

TC-65:

Abarth 1000TC
Alfa Romeo GTA
Ford Falcon
Ford Mustang
Jaguar Mkii
Lotus Cortina
Mini Cooper S

GTC-65:

AC Shelby Cobra
Austin Healey 3000
Chevrolet Corvette
Ferrari 275 GTB
Ford GT40
Jaguar E-Type
Lotus Elan
Lotus Elite
Mercedes 300SL
Renault Alpine A110
Shelby Daytona Coupe
Shelby GT350
TVR Griffith 400

Until FUNDAY

I refuse to cheat. I actually enjoy the single player.

I can't make it Friday, entertaining visitors. Enjoy! I'm sure you will.

It's only the game side of it you're missing if you use the cheat.

If you don't wanna play the game & just wanna drive all the cars on all the tracks that's your choice!

Cheers & hopefully see you friday,

I'm fairly certain that you can still join an online game at a track that you havn't unlocked yet.  You just can't host at that track if you havn't unlocked it.
Way to check is go online and try to join a server running Spa.
