Ok chaps - the poll looks pretty conclusive but I think I've come up with a cunning plan to satisfy us all....well by that I of course mean me . Will post details tonight!

I think the Williams is going to be fairly different to the Ferrari academy Ken, no head tilt and crazy amounts of steering lock on the iRacing version for starters.
I'm not kidding myself, I know it's going to be a biatch to drive but I have to say I'm getting quite excited about the release on Thursday now, just want to get my hands on it!

Yes, I've frigged the settings to overcome the steering lock in FA. I have been puzzled by the lack of head tilt when I've played it. I have read comments about it, but in the cockpit view I use all I get is a bit of for/aft braking/acceleration movement.

Ah that's interesting, I wonder if it was something in the promo vids only or perhaps there's a config file somewhere to unlock it. I like the idea but I wouldn't want to play the one I've seen with a hangover that's for sure LOL.

The new iRacing build may appear on Wednesday (27th), they gave themselves a little wiggle room with the release date of the 28th on the vid and the press release.

I think it might be in the replay cockpit view only.

I am enjoying it, but as ever not getting much seat time. Mugello is a cracking track though. There is a series of flat out corners mid lap which are very exhilerating, even in simulation, God knows what it must feel like in RL!!!

Ok that would explain it - I've only seen the promo vids thus far. Hear you on the seat time issue, just about managing one race a week at the moment!

Thanks for voting all, as you can see I paid full attention to the results and decided to run them both in the end!  - just had to give the Williams it's SROU debut I'm afraid, for those of you who fancy hanging about after the Mazda event, there'll be a 25 min race/ crash fest to savour .
