Do do realise the Misses will have a birthday on Sunday before she has another on a Tuesday, don't you LOL, no, but good point, however I was more thinking Tuesday in general is a pain cause it's a work night and was using the wife's birthday as an excuse to leave hints about moving UKiR to Sundays.

Yeah, cause we've had loads of people come on here saying they cant do tuesdays The numbers attending perhaps provide an indication without any need for words? So the hour races so far arn't endurance races I would say 80mins+ is an endurance race. 60 mins is a long sprint. 30-40 mins is a sprint race. 20 mins is usually a destruction derby.

Yeah, cause we've had loads of people come on here saying they cant do tuesdays So the hour races so far arn't endurance races (Resident spy) Well I know for a fact that Tuesdays are not convenient for most of the Legends team and it's not ideal for me either... UKiR races on Tuesdays because it was the only slot available when we first started. Numbers are falling, and if we do nothing there will be no UKiR in a couple of seasons. We need to consider our options. If changing day and race format means we'll attract bigger grids, I'm all for it... BTW 60mins is NOT an Endurance race, it's a sprint

Is Sunday night not a work night? I must admit to liking the Tuesday evening slot as it allows me to practice on a Monday evening. I doubt I'd be able (or have the inclination) to practice on a Saturday. That said, I do see the need to shake things up a bit as the dwindling grids are not good for business.

Here's an idea... How about practise in the practise session before the race. Judging by your pace at Silverstone, limiting your practise time might not be a bad thing.

I try to keep out of these things a little bit, living in a different timezone to most of the Racers on here, But Sundays could see me getting back into the action especially if the Race start times were brought forward a half hour or so to something like 8pm. Good idea.

Trust me, you wouldn't want to be anywhere near me on the grid if I only practiced in the few hours prior to a race. I'm not suggesting Sundays are a bad thing, they worked great when I raced in UKGPL, and I'm sure I'll adapt to any changes if and when they come. 80+ minute races though??? Does anyone know where I could get a job lot of 'Anusol' at wholesale price?

80+ minute races though??? Does anyone know where I could get a job lot of 'Anusol' at wholesale price? No one is saying we have to do 80+ minute races. If the majority prefer we could stick to 60 minute races and then have the odd 80+ minute special. e.g. 2 hours at SPA I'm sure if we advertised a 40+ grid, 2 hour Special @ Spa with a choice of DPs, Vettes and Radicals/Mustangs, we would have plenty of takers...

Yeah, cause we've had loads of people come on here saying they cant do tuesdays The numbers attending perhaps provide an indication without any need for words? Perhaps, but it might also indicate the size of the current pool of iR drivers at srouk Sunday's probably is the right move for the league, but changing nights alone is unlikely to lead to a surge in regular driver numbers. Like others have already mentioned, a big effort to increase awareness of this league is likely required (for all srouk sims).

Yes I agree Legzy. I will try and post the day before or on the day of every league race in that thread I created on the iRacing forums when I remember to firstly keep the thread nearer the top and secondly to try and get more people involved. If I don't remember would appreciate someone else doing it. I forgot till very late last time, so not a good start.

A move to Sundays would probably count me out guys, between family events and it generally being the time I tend to get to watch the GP's on a Sunday evening.
That said if its the right way to get more numbers in then you should do it.

Hopefully you'd find a way to wangle it Gary as that would be a shame but I have to say, Sundays would suit me a lot better too - and I think it's the way to go.
In my slightly biased opinion, iR's got the most secure future of the sims we offer by the nature of it being continually developed and I think to restore this place to it's former glory we need to be backing it fully, the right slot, a good promotional effort across the other community and news sites plus some work to differentiate ourselves from the competition while still playing to our strengths of being a very well organised and friendly league.
It's also worth noting that a small amount of promotion effort can produce some results - over the 14 ACHF races we've seen 37 new (non-SRou) drivers in total so they are prepared to join, even on one of the worst nights. We just need to make sure we give them a reason to stay here and that has to be with the championship races IMO - hopefully complimented by the Friday stuff as a bonus.
