How dense am I? Just noticed the race is for Friday I might make it as I'm supposed to be going to a party but doubt I'll hang about for long as I'm taxi for my G/F (I.e. not drinking and therefore unable to ignore what's bound to be awfull music). Aslong as I've managed to get everything installed and some sort of shonky setup created in time I may manage to hop in at the end of practice. Otherwise I'll miss it

The mod has been released guys so get downloading http://www.sportscarlegends.net/Make sure you have the four new tracks first and I'd strongly reccommend you look at the ReadMe file before installing.

Yay!!! The award goes to Tim, for sprinting to the car download first. It appears to be rather busy atm - probably 50 drivers blocking the full width, but the race is on!

I don't know much about such cars, but I liked the name and looks of the Ford Mirage M1, so I took it out for a couple of laps at Silvy. I must say I don't like the default setup at all, but after some extreme setup tweaking I think it feels quite OK now. Did a 1:30.56 if you need some reference point.

This is great fun and I am within ten seconds of you H so I am pretty happy. My mirrors are upside down though - I've seen a fix for that somewhere...

A quote from http://wiki.grandprixlegends.info/index.php?title=GPL_FAQ_and_troubleshooting_guideMirrors pointed up, upside down or to one side of the track
- This happens in OpenGL (not in D3D) with the latest nVidia drivers (after about 52.16) which work fine but the buffer flipping mode needs to be set to block transfer. This is no longer the default in the 52.16 drivers. Control Panel > Display > Settings > Advanced > your card tab > OpenGL > Buffer Flipping Mode > use block transfer.

Cheers Steve. I find the frame rate in OpenGL awful if there are other cars around. Anyone else finding that? I have a fairly beefy laptop (Core i7 but inbuilt GeForce) but it struggles with GT at full size (1920x1080) - 640x480 is OK but still not great. D3Dv2 is fine but for some reason on this laptop I can't use D3D - the screen only paints part of the screen - dependent on screen size selected. At 640x480 the whole screen is painted but the right hand side (approx. a quarter) is 'snowy' (as if the car has rolled - some of you may not have seen that effect - I have, a lot ) Anyone got any ideas on getting D3D working? D3DV2 is great but Pribluda doesn't work. I have looked for an update but no joy. Mod is great fun and although I am still slow (1:39) at least I can keep it on the road and I haven't rolled one yet...

A friend had that problem, it has to do with the Rasterizer settings in GPL (can tweak settings from inside GEM+). I don't know what exactly fixed it though, but you can have a look. You should sort it out and use D3D instead of OpenGL.
