Fozzmeister brakes very late at Lesmo 2 and is trying to pass Popabawa. While doing this he has some contact with Popabawa who runs offtrack.

Fairly lonley race in the Z3 for me, just couldnt close the gap on Jon who always remained 15-20 secs ahead, grats on another win mate and grats to Shark ans Maj for their champ wins.
I really hope it dosnt rain next week for the div2 final race.

i was obviously running too much wing?...i had 2 front, 8 rear? Couldnt

I'd say so yes. In the dry i run 1 and 4 on the Lambo in GT would be something similar in an NGT.
In the rain I upped my wing to 1 and 7 on the Lambo.

Even in the wet, you need straight line speed at Monza to compete.  Cool

Pray to the god of weather (Picnic and his trusty dice), or possibly a back hander might sway it.  Wink Wink

Yep, thanks Shark, thought so....showed my newbie in-experience again Roll Eyes   I was running 1 & 6 in dry setup but presumed i'd need extra downforce to keep it on the track through the sweeping bends like Parabolica. I've got no wet setups or much experience of wet racing...yet!
Never mind, i'm happy with the result. Smiley

I'm very sorry I couldn’t make it in time for race, but my little son took me all the evening till he went to bed.

Congrats to the winners and to you Shark for the championship victory

EDIT: sorry for long story   Roll EyesCheesy

I joined the server, no-one else in there but it said something like 3/24 in lobby.

I noticed it said WET/RAIN and other horrible words Cheesy, so I Exited thinking I joined the wrong server only to re-join to the same conditions Sad ,
F#@~ not a wet race.  Angry

Filled it up with Fuel and planned to put about 10 laps worth in during the pit stop as backup, only to forget to put any in Roll Eyes

Was Just thinking about how long I should stay out for............Only for me to spin Sad

luckily I kept a steady gap from Shark and eventualy pitted on the same lap, After being persuaded by a little slide I had at Parabolica  Shocked

Came out (of pits Tongue) in 3rd/4th,climbed to 2nd and by the time Id done a few laps I was Praying to the gods that whoever was in front was NOT on a 0 stopper.

Turned out to be the case of another of Blaz's famous 1 stints Tongue. Must have been really tough on the same set of tyres. Cool

Closed the gap on 1st place (Blaz) and started trying to work out how much fuel I was gonna need. (started using brain again)...............yes you guessed it, another spin :O

Realised Id need about 13 Ltrs of fuel and I only had about 9, so thought sod it, try and catch and pass Blaz then short shift and leave it in a higher gear to save as much fuel as possible.

Got passed Blaz, started my strategy, ran wide at the second Lesmo for trying too hard to save fuel, ended up with a mirrior full of Blza but luckily stayed just infront of him by going defensive. Nice driving Blaz Smiley

Went to the end of the lap with no chance of doing another 3 (based on time left) had enough to do 2 laps with very conservative driving but there was over 4 minutes left :O.
Crossed Finich line. Race has finished. Cheesy

That was tough.........well done guys!

Just before joining for this rainy race I've finished another Monza race with a Porsche GT2 so drivinig in the rain felt a bit similiar to driving that strange GT car. I needed a few laps to find my braking zones and from then on it felt pretty good. For the race I took soft wets and enough fuel for 28 laps so no stops for me. Start was calm, no preassure from behind. Just when I thought this went very smooth I saw a glimpse of red car totaly out of control in my rear mirror. I'm not sure what happened but if I would have been a second slower turning to that first chicane I would have received a direct hit from that red torpedo.

After that I managed to find my rhythm and car felt better from lap to lap as I got used to wet condition. I even did my qualifying time in the race which felt satisfying. GT guys started to pit and there I was in 4th position because I stayed out on the track. Soon I was cought by two GT cars and gave room so I was back to 6th but then Truetom went into the pits again so I regained 5th position.

For the last 5 laps tyres were begining to go away and I had to be extra carefull not to lose it a couple of times. Still I had no warning for worn tyres so I guess they were still in decent shape after 28 laps of racing.

I'm very happy to win the championship, especially the team championship with only 1 car competing.
I would like to thank everyone who managed to put this league together and giving us a chance to have some nice and fun Sunday racing. Special thanks goes to all the drivers for fairness and great spirit throughout the season. It was a privilage to race with you and I hope we'll meet again on track some other time.

Best wishes from Slovenia !

This game is just a comedy of errors (BUGS). Qualled less than a second behind Matj and had a good race set up. Got on grid, clicked into gear, hit accelerator....nothing, steering fin, all the buttons work but pedals sem to have been left in the pits. Whens GTR2 released?

Don1 caught me so fast on the straight that i moved out the way thinking it was a lapping GT car Shocked, i was obviously running too much wing?...

I thought that was rather considerate at the time the way you moved over. I was on new rubber and able to accelerate out of the Parabolicia and only had a rear wing of 5.
I also had the problem of spins at low speed!
Enjoyed the race especially the novelty of rain.
Don.

One other thing I forgot to mention: when Fozzmeister spun in Parabolica there were two GTs relatively close behind him. As soon as he saw he's not gonna make it, he hit Escape. That was really more than considerate as probably there would be a crash. Thank you, Fozz !  Smiley

Same with others who were lapped or spun, they were all really fair and careful. Good job, guys!  Smiley

In the Season2 (will there be GTR Season2 at all?) I plan to drive an NGT and I hope I will play that role as good as you guys were. Cheers!
