Frustrating end to a frustrating season. Screen-freeze with 4 laps to go after running competitively in 2nd or 3rd the whole race
I make that my 5th screen-freeze of the year
Aside from the first & last races I was in a handicap chassis all season, so dropping out of the top 4 champ places right at the death was particularly galling – especially as this season I seemed to be the unwitting victim of other people’s accidents rather too often.
On the bright side, it was nice to have a more competitive run in the last race & I really enjoyed racing at the sharp end. Bernie scared the life out of me when he spun just as I came to lap him & speared across the track into my path but I managed to brake just in time. Looked to have a podium place in the bag when the freeze struck – feel particularly cheated as it was a bloody hard race & I felt I’d driven rather well. Oh well, that’s online GPL I guess - I do love it but sometimes you really wonder whether it’s worth all the aggro…
