Holy moley! That's hard work that track.

Had a great qualifying session taking 0.5s off my PB to grab NGT pole only for Jamera to outbrake me going into the chicane with a great move. Luckily a spinning car forced Jam to slow almost to a stop at the next chicane and a gap parted like the Red Sea in front of me to nip through Smiley Didn't lose the NGT lead after that for the win.

An NGT Legends 1-2 gives us the NGT team championship I think! Wahoo! Probably the only silverware we'll ever pick up so I'm making the most of it. Exrta beer & fags for all!

Thanks for a brilliant season guys  Cheesy

Well mixed race there, took the Bi-Turbo and got a PB in qually just behind Pops'. Race started and and we swapped places a couple of times before I ran wide (word of warning, the Bi-Turbo is crap at getting out of the kitty litter, lost a sh*t load of time cos you can't get the revs up). Rejoined and span a couple of laps later losing the splitter. Pitted to get it changed and was in there for 4 BLOODY MINS!!!!! effectively ending my race, but good fun anyway. If my calcs are right I think I only had to score points tonight if Zyp raced to secure 3rd in the championship, not bad really as I also got 4th in Div1 and I'm only a reserve lol

Anyway guys that was an awesome season, enjoyed the Endurance far more than I thought I would- thanks one and all

In true "Legends" style i went out and got absolutely hammered for a long time mates birthday with plenty of booze, fags and dancing girls last night so i was feeling a little fragile throughout that race...it showed in my qualy times which were 2 secs off my PB here Roll Eyes

But the race went pretty smoothly and un-eventful, i only had two minor spins both unfortunately when i was watching my mirrors to see where the lapping GT cars were, so sorry to you guys for no doubt giving you a minor scare there  Embarrassed

And a great result once again for the Legends with another 1-2 to clinch the team championship Smiley
Well done Pops, i kept closing the gap to you only to lose it both times the GT cars caught me, losing roughly 3 secs each time i moved out there way. That looked a great battle by the way, there seemed to be 3 GT cars glued nose to tail, good stuff.

Cheers all for accepting me into this great racing league, i am having great fun and wished i had taken part sooner. Cool

Up the Legends!! Grin

First of all, thanks to those who organised, moderated and took part in, for me, a great introduction into enduro races. The season was summed up for me by Nicks actions tonight. First of all we had a fair battle with him eventually getting the better of me and then, when he span in front of me, he escaped and finished his own race rather than risk taking me off. Typical of everyones attitude.

Secondly the race tonight. Seemed to be going serenely after 40 mins. Then an odd incident with Dan cost me my front splitter. Not sure what happened but it felt like you were pushing me but when I looked in mirrors you where nowhere near me, really strange :'(. Tried to limp around a lap to pits only to slide off parabolica and created an incident for which I must apologise. Whole race went to pot after that.

Congrats to teamy mo as the the mighty crawlers pick up yet another title.

Congrats on the drivers championship Ginsters , and good to race with you again.
No biggie bout the incident at the Parabolica - i saw you rejoining and tried to keep as tight as I could which turned out to be where you were heading too, on your way to the pits! Just one of those things.

It was good to end the season on a high note - this race was certainly a thriller for me.
There was no more than a few seconds beteen the top 4 for the first half of the race.
I think I led twice, span 3 times pitted twice and got a stop/go penalty which all told I'm glad to score 4th place.
I had a great battle with Zacari who was one-stopping like me and suffering major tyre problems just like me too  Shocked
In the end I would have ran out of fuel so had to stop and unfortunately was caught speeding in th pitlane.

Thanks to all you guys for providing some great racing throughout the season, and thanks also to all the admin crew for making it all happen.
Looking forward to season 2 cheers  Smiley

Replay and provisional results now available.

Also a gentle reminder, in order to race you need to be signed up for that race championship even as a reserve. This allows the mods to notify people as a group, for things like passwords etc. Someone raced last night having not followed this procedure. It is not hard to subscribe to a race series, please do so if you intend to race next season. And to whoever gave you the password, please don't and get your friend to signup officially. Thanks  Smiley

Thanks Ginsters appreciate it.
Just have not managed to get cracked really with these cars this season. Am quick at times but way to inconsistent to do much.

Decided just to try to get a car I can handle each time but after knocking Greg off at Oschers did not want to cause any more trouble wherever possible.
Was quicker than you, guess you were probably worried when I was around anyway! But guess you were doing the gently gently approach. Once I had damaged the car decided enough was enough.

Thanks to all and if I am back next season may well run NGT just so I see the chequered flag a bit more.!!

Cheers

That was quite a fun and eventful finale to the season!

Quali'd 2nd which was only a fraction of my pb, then spent the remaining 20 mins getting my race setup sorted.  I went for a no-stopper and that was just about ok, thought the tyers were very dead at the end!! Shocked Smiley

Race started well, I could keep within a few secs of Jon which made me assume he was also on a no-stopper, so I was stunned when I saw him in the pits!  Had a pretty long battle with greg in the opening laps, and after Jon had pitted I was about 8 secs ahead of mo.

Few laps later I span out of the second lesmo, just too much grunt too soon and lost the lead, only to get it back out of the parabolica which confused the hell out of me!  (presuming that was the SBG thing)  Then got caught out by the bump into the second chicane and skated across the kitty litter back into second again.

Was keeping mo within a couple of secs until lapping (I think) 5th and 6th, both of them ran wide out of the third chicane, one of them span into me damaging the car, and I lost about 25 secs, just one of those things - it's always the danger when lapping people caught up in their own battle for position.

mo then pitted and I was only 3 secs in front of Jon, with much fresher tyers there was no way I could keep the lead so had to settle for second.

Grats to SBG for the GT win, very consistently at the top of the timesheets!

Roll on season 2!  Smiley

Well what a superb season's racing that was, big thanks to all the admin guys and Picnic for making it possible.

Grats to SBG for the GT championship, Dave and Shark for their respective championships.

If only I had been able to attend that first race at Barcelona, might have been a different story at the end of the season, thats not to take anything away from SBG, you drove very consistently throughout mate and fully deserve the win.
Role on season 2.

Grats Ginster on the drivers title well deserved  Grin
sorry about the start chaps didn't have any lights on screen, thanks for flashing your lights Greg its the only way i knew it had gone green.
Great race had mirrors full of 550's for first 25mins,good pace off you no stoppers, you think you were shocked Zac,i didn't think the 550 would do a no stop round Monza  Shocked felt like i was sneaking away at one point early on but a 911 came back on the track at the first chicanne and had to stop dead(sorry about the tap m8 just couldn't stop).Back to the chain gang again, next minute i had to pit came out 5th and when things settled down and everyone had pitted who was going to was p3 +40s was lucky Mo had to pit late on, lucked in to the win i think, you would have had it with out the spin Zac  Wink

Been great racing you guys for the last half of the season, only wish i'de found you sooner
thanks to all the admin guys for making it happen  Cheesy grats to all class champions

looking forward to season 2  Grin

Quick question, hopefully someone will know the answer.

Why was the Monza race only 52mins long?

I only ask because I pitted with about 9 - 10 mins to go when in 5th place, with a lead over 6th place of around 1m20 - 1m30 and I think around 30 - 40s behind 4th place. Completed my pit stop and I was now 1L down on 4th and ahead of 6th place by about 10 - 20s, so my pit stop must have taken around 1m. However as soon as I drove out of the pits the time to go on the HUD displayed ------ meaning the race was over. I completed 1 more lap to make sure and sure enough I was given the race over message. By my calculations on exiting the pits there should have been another 8mins of racing to go!

Sure enough when I checked the results Jon's time shows he completed the race in 52mins.

Interestingly apart from Enna (and Spa obviously) the remaining races were around 59mins or just over the hour. Enna was 55mins. Division 1 timings are similar. Must be something to do with the tracks?

It's something to do with race distance vs race time. At the fast tracks the quick boys complete the distance before the time expires. At slower tracks the time is reached first. At least that's my understanding  Wink

The FIA GT races have a distance limit as well as a time limit. Races at Monza & Enna finish early because of the high speeds, the distance limit is reached before the time limit which doesn't happen at the slower tracks.
