Not my favourite sort of track - too many bumps!  I don't mind the sun - it helps the realism.  Thanks Clive for your help in getting the Cobra 289 Roadster setup.  A bit disappointed with qualifying and in the race I had too many unforced errors.  Finished 8th due to other drivers making worse errors than me in the race.  (Not as many flying cars as in the GTL on Monday as we had at Pembury devil - no really nice profiled grass banks.)

Only pleasing thing was the fastest race lap was within a few hundreds on a sec of my PB set on my own - online. whistling yes  Once I'm the last runner I try to keep alert  yawn by, providing the car is OK, trying to beat my qualifying/PB.

Ah yes, got a wheel onto the grass and spun across the track, I remember gritting teeth and hoping
to not get hit, but was not to be, appologies for my crap driving Stig, at least we both carried
on with bent cars and had some fun. I snapped my G25 wheel a couple of weeks ago fighting
with a slidey car, had to poke 4 inch screws into the two halves of the wheel and apply a few firkins
of araldite... It has a bit more "mass" now  Grin

Unofficial LapChart

Congrats and thanks to Mike for organising the championship. Congrats to the Kerbies.

By my quick calculation it looks as though my late participation may have resulted in Kerbies winning the team prize.  Cool

Then also congrats to you Bill  Cool
Looks like us gentlemen drivers ploughing on at the back  sometimes can make a difference  Grin

First of all I want to thank the organizers of the championship. I didn't join all the races for the  other "commitments" with the VDA, but as ever It's a real fun to race here, and this formula proved to be the best way to have some balance between car groups & drivers.

Here there's a great atmosphere for racing, a lot of strong and fair drivers and I like this place so much!
I want to thank Chris, for his invite to join the Oldie Team, and I can confirm by now I can surely stay in the Oldie Team, at least for the next Season if you want.

Grats to Mike - Legzy - Lorenzo for the podium in drivers championship, and to the kerbs - SRBC - Oldies for the podium in team championship!
Cu the next thursday for a fun event maybe? I don't know what Mike is preparing for us Cheesy

Bye bye!

I have finally found time to catch up on the paperwork.

Many congratulations to Mike for his Championship crown and also to the Kerb Crawlers, we will get you next time, if there is one.

I had foolishly entertained thoughts of winning this round.  Roll Eyes  A 1:46.7 in my pre-race practice did nothing to dent this belief.

As soon as I went on line it all started to turn to rats.  I even managed to crash at Hilltop due to reading the chat messages.

I was still waiting for someone to join the grid when I sudenly realised that the lights were on and thus only just managed to stagger off the grid.

Things began to settle down and I was in my usual position of chasing Ade but with Legzy in his yellow Ferrari doing all he could to stop me concentrating on the job in hand.

Legzy had only just left me alone when my blind run into Dentons resulted in my taking too much curb and the car was on its roof.  Very unfriendly I thought.  I didn't actually want any curb but I had found that the best line was close down the right hand side.

They can't race at Oulton past 6:00pm so what the sun was doing that low I don't know.

I really don't know why we can't just have a straight forward race where all the corners are visible.

Me neither, don't recall any problem with visibility. Maybe you should turn the brightness down on your monitor Clive  Wink, or wear some shades!

I need shades for the monitor.  LOL

I'll take a screen shot from my monitor and you can tell me if you could see more.
