Great track and it's my local if you discount Aintree, which isn't used for serious racing any more.

Seems to have a few more lumps and bumps that the GPL version.

Do the servers time out after a while if no-one has been on them since they were started?

No. They are supposed to hang out and wait indefinitely.

cant we add a euro spec classic racer to the group A (yellow) ? My race at Albi was effectively ruined because i was shoe horned into a US muscle car that i very rarely drive, and as usual had little time for any praccy, and now it seems i am still stuck with them despite being away for Albi part 2 ?  Just a simple request and i know i am not alone in thinking there should be one in the yellow group.  Kiss

Stick the Elite in Yellow?  Roll Eyes
EDIT:
Clive may be right, Aintree isn;t used for serious racing these days.. but here's a couple of very short
clips of me "trying" to be serious in Village corner  Smiley

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lNEWQ9qKxxg

EDIT:
It's a Peugeot 106 Rallye Mk1. it is in a road going Hillclimb and sprint class under 1400. regs mean you can
only change certain things. The engine is a 1360 8 valve head, limiter cuts in at 8500, peak is
150bhp at 7200, car weighs around 760kg. suspension is very stiff particularly the rear, there is very
little roll with it, making it "entertaining" in the wet. It's currently having the gearbox rebuilt as it snapped
the output shaft... it has a quaife ATB diff, but most of the gearbox bits are standard, and it's putting
out 1/2 as much power again as it was designed for. it had to run on normal road tyres so could be
quite a bit quicker of track day tyres were allowed. If I put slicks on it it would go up to the Modified
Production class with full blown racers which are fully stripped out etc. Mine has to have a working heater
and radio, because it had them when new...I drive it to events, real "gentleman racer" style as I have
nowhere at home to put a trailer.
There are some in car and external vids of it's previous incarnations on my site
(had to use a proper "Rallye" shell to keep within some people's idea of the regs.) :
http://www.matt-rowe.co.uk/

The external Ty Croes ones are My pal Ed in my previous car, then Craig Lawton in a 205, then me. Loadsa tyres squeal!

I added the Ferrari 250C to the Yellow group. It is similar in performance to the Trans Am. It will be interesting to see how it stacks up in the race.

Bit late in the day for changes to the car groups.

It's to be hoped that the yellow group do not all turn up in 250Cs and lock out the front rows of the grid!   Grin

I doubt the front row will be locked out by Ferrari's. I was faster in the Mustang, but that may be my prevalence to yank tanks talking.

LOL

I have learnt not to underestimate the powers of the aliens to turn up in a car that I have dimissed as to slow and proceed to wipe the floor with everyone.

thanks for adding the euro car Mike, appreciated. Perhaps we should have added the proviso that only 'mortals in yellow can drive it...usual aliens have to use the rest!'  It just seemed a little unbalanced that there were 'only' US cars in yellow as they have their own distinct driving style required, which is fine if you have plenty of spare time for practise.

How do we say NO to alternate weeks? I think the same people will turn up most of the time whether we
run bi-weekly or not. It just spoils the fun reducing the number of races in a week for me.

You're in the same boat as me Matt. I just don't understand the decision the two historic leaders have come too on their own. Huh

With regards your question, I have no idea "how we say NO to alternate weeks". But adding the slogan to my signature has recruited you, maybe if you & a few others feel the same & add it to your signatures, the two organisers might review it. Undecided
