What's the matter guys? You don't enjoy GTL? Our hopes is that some of those who race GTL only will mozy onto the P&G farm and those who race P&G only will do the same with GTL. I'm also thinking there are others like me who could benefit from committing to 1 less night of racing whilst still getting their fill of historic racing from a 2 different platforms. Until P&G 3 comes out, GTL still has the edge with the number of cars available.

Let's see how the numbers work out when the change goes into effect.

In fairness, since I added that signature, Tony has put up a cracking series & I'm right back into GTL. It seems I'm not the only one his current series has attracted either, with 16 & 18 drivers at the last two Monday races. Cool
My signature should probably has been updated to say: Just say no to alternate UKPnG & UKGTL races. Wink

I've been wrong soo many times before it's not funny... but while you might get a couple of drivers that will be happy to start picking up the other sim 'because that's on a Thursday now', I imagine that equally you'll lose drivers that want to do just PnG or just GTL weekly. Some will find other leagues who race their choice of sim, others will just settle for fortnightly races & possibly fade away from racing gradually Undecided

The other negative side effect will be that for quite a few people like myself, it'll be reducing us to one historic race a week instead of the two I enjoy now Sad.

Anyhow, I won't harass you further. Smiley

PnG is my sim of choice and I'm racing with it on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

I don't do GTL and have no intention of mozying anywhere.

I find that if I am to make any progress with a sim then I have to do it on an exclusive basis, especially when learning, which is the stage that I am at with PnG.  I haven't used all 104 cars in PnG yet so why would I want any more?

When PnG3 arrives I will have a whole new learning experience as I understand that the physics have been tweaked to achieve even greater realism.

PnG also offers great racing and whilst Mike's PnG seasons have presented me with a serious challenge(several actually), the best fun that I have is with the Gamers-Crib races on a Tuesday.  They have two sprint races on the night with two different car sets.  It is usually elbows out action from lights to flag.

Would that not be a possibility with the Thursday night races, one P&G race & one GTL race. One short race & one longer race, alternating between the two sims each week. Everyone would get at least one race per week then.

I have always given priority to my UKxx racing, be it UKGPL or UKPnG, but if PnG is such an embarrassment to SROUK then perhaps the time has come to clear off and race elsewhere!

I wouldn't say P&G is an embarrassment here. I think we offer challenging racing with accomplished/clean drivers. The numbers here are on par with Race 2 Play (other league I race with).

I'd be happy to try the dual sprints again. Let's do a test next week. I'll work on a tasty set of cars for a single track.

I should have stuck with the flipping Transam, i was both quicker and more stable in it here but loved driving the 250C when it was on song. Dont know what went wrong with my race setup, the car just kept constantly oversteering into a spin and by lap 8 i had already span 5 times and ran wide 3 ! A disaster. When i span a 6th time with the leaders approaching to lap me i decided enough was enough.  Angry  Odd, as my test laps with full fuel it felt alright.  Huh

The car is like a ballerina and feels great when it works right, dancing through the apex's but it takes more talent than ive got to keep it constantly on the black stuff and the constant spins took the fun out of it.

Great track and nice car spread, shame i couldnt race anyone.

I hope that next season, if there is one, we can dispense with joke lighting effects and iffy tracks.

With little to aim at due to the sun straight into my eyes, I used half the curb at Dentons and the next instant I was flying through the air.

Not a happy camper.

I would rather have a season based on the standard tracks that shipped with the game.

Shocked that I won that round in the Ferrari 250. Like MJ said earlier, it is an incredibly difficult car to drive. The car was dancing over the bumps and threatened to snap around on me many times throughout the race. I had to deny the car the pleasure because it was so damn fun trying to keep up with Navin the first stint. We were never more than 2 seconds apart.

Just before my stop, I took away a little fuel knowing the only chance I had to pass him was in the pits. Fortunately, I had 1 more lap of fuel than he did, but unfortunately, my handling went off sharply 2 laps before my stop. I focused all I could on getting the best in lap, pit and out lap possible. My plan worked as I exited the pits with 3 seconds in hand to Navin, but I could clearly see that wasn't going to be enough. His car was working much, much better than mine in the 2nd stint. I knew I couldn't hold him off, but I fought as long as I could. He got by with 3 laps to go I think.

With 2 to go, I realized I was going to be half a gallon short so I backed off knowing I couldn't catch Navin and had a ton of time back to 3rd. Shortly thereafterwards, I see Navin doing the same. My 1st thought is he sees that I have conceded and he backs off to ensure he makes it home as well. Turns out he had the same plan as me with short filling the car to get the track position after the pit sequence. He ran out going up the hill in the last turn. Sorry to see you didn't make it Navin. It was an epic battle.

Many, many thanks to Matt for taking on server responsibilities this season. Without his help, the races we enjoy wouldn't happen. Thanks again Matt.

I don;t like the sun in your eyes stuff either. But didn't put me off much though
Fell off early on with a dumb error, then clawed back up the field, not sure if Legzy spun trying to avoid my
fat posterior or there was contact, if there was I felt nothing, so continued. Lorenzo seemed to be struggling
some, so caught and passed him, I need to say that again "caught and passed Lorenzo"  Grin
then went into pits with 95 sec "Shall we replace your susupension sir?" no you pilcharding will not
left Tyres as they were still a dirty green, and pressed on, have to say I wasted more time mucking around
with the keyboard on my lap trying to tell XD about not changing tyres than if I'd just driven hard on my
in lap, practice I guess, and Yes, Thanks Manteos I got it now  Cool
Had Geoffers and Ade 10 secs or so behind, and went off slightly letting them gain, then Ade got past
Geoffers and started to "Reel me in" err like a, err (cough) fish.... Kept a couple of secs to the end
and got a Pody, possibly second if the Nav Fuel report is correct.
Love the track even if it is a bumpy version.

Great race, awesome track (bumps are not that bad in real life I hope). Proves you don't need a Tilke to design difficult and challenging tracks.
Race was more about keeping the Oil Tanker on the road but was having fun sliding through the corners.

Congrats and thanks to Mike for organising the championship. Congrats to the Kerbies.

What a treat this track was Cheesy. I would rather run out of gas one turn to the end here rather than win a dozen races at another boring track... Which is just exactly what I did!!  Embarrassed That was a big surprise to see Mike so close to me for the whole first fuel stint. I kept looking behind to see Mike totally sideways driving that 250 brilliantly. I had just enough to stay ahead but did have to pit one lap earlier. Like Mike said after his stop I was about 3 seconds back with 9 laps to go and just tried to be clean and hit my marks to close the gap. Mike was still driving very well and had good pace but given I was in the 275 I was able to get to him. I wasn't going to press the issue to hard because I wasn't sure about the championship points situation for Mike. Not realizing he was uncatchable for first I didn't want to crash us out and screw up anyone's championship. So I just ran as hard as I could and hoped for a small mistake that would give me a chance to get by. In turn 5(banked 180 corner) Mike was a just a little high going through the corner which was just enough for me to poke my front end in and get a good exit out. It was a drag race out and I just got by. It was then 3 laps to go and I wasn't even thinking about fuel.. Then with 1 1/2 to go I looked at my fuel gauge and went GLUP!!! Shocked I knew I was sunk for 1st but just hoped I could get to the end. I realized that Mike was either having a similar fuel problem or was just going slow for the last lap.. I was in 5th gear almost the whole way but in the end it wasn't enough  angel Wasn't the first time I've run out.. And I'm sure it wont be the last  Tongue Was glad Mike got the win as his drive in that 250 was truly epic.. Have no idea how you could get that wobbly kneed car to go so fast for sooo long.. Wink

Grats go out as well to Matt for 2nd and to Ade for 3rd place. Smiley

A big Congrats to the Championship winners Mike,Legzy, and Lorenzo

My first championship in PnG and it has been a ton of fun racing with you fellas. Great to race with a good group of guys and this group is one of the best I've had the pleasure to race with. No hotdogs short of talent.. Just a bunch of fast guys that are considerate of others.. Good stuff Grin Thank you Mike for all your work.

Had some fine racing at first, then couldn't avoid Matts Mustang, as it came galloping right across the track. My car was pretty hard to handle efter that, but I still had some fun duels untill my wheel came off the table  Shocked  arghh.. I was so surprised I jumped of my chair and fell flatt on the floor  laugh Some finish of the season  Grin Grin.

Congrats to the winners of this race and those who made the podium for the whole season.

Gutted I missed this - as despite the exagerated bumps and crests* I love this version of the circuit  Sad

Havn't raced at all this week due to a cold is my only excuse. I was looking forward to fighting the Shelby (My new favourite toy) round here...

*Have driven Oulton in real life, It's a must-do for anyone into their trackdays, this layouts fairly good but a lot of the bumps seem exagerated - also the track is much smoother for real  Smiley

Congrats and thanks to Mike for organising the championship. Congrats to the Kerbies.

By my quick calculation it looks as though my late participation may have resulted in Kerbies winning the team prize.  Cool
